maybe its just bc its been talked about so much, but it really does feel like the leafs stars arent looking over their shoulder as much this year now that the other team has to be worried about a little bit of push back from reeves, domi, bertuzzi, etc…. they are playing with a little more emotion and swagger instead of always putting their head down and being worried about offending someone
I don't blame Gus for this one. I blame the Wilds defensive play. Too many times Leafs players just skate into the slot unbothered for easy goals. Also, undisciplined penalties by the pylons aka Merril and Goligoski.
