   For people confused about the point of the post:

   No, Werenski is far from the problem, and in fact is a big part of the solution. But at the same time, he’s getting paid more than the best defenseman (non-debatable) in the league.

   That’s just one head scratcher, check out the contracts for other players. Gudbranson, Elvis, Severson AND Provorov, Roslovic.

   We’re handing out big contracts to players who aren’t taking us to the playoffs nor are they getting us any closer to them. That is problematic and that’s the point of the post.

   Worth every dollar – won’t hold his injuries against him. All preseason and camp he has looked elite and was still getting back into game shape. Would be #1 D on 28 teams in the NHL.
