Good to get Hirose down to Abbotsford playing more minutes. But Juulsen should be in press box next game with Friedman here.

Myers and Juulsen should be in the pressbox, might as well try out Irwin on the bottom pair.

Elliotte playing on the big club, nice

Friedman has been very inconsistent in his career so far, but he can move the puck and has far more mobility than Juulsen. Hopefully Friedman can settle in and be an improvement on Juulsen. Which isn’t asking a lot. Seems like a good dude, but his mobility and decision-making isn’t NHL caliber.

It’s rough seeing the NHL defensive holes being plugged with AHL caliber players. Fingers crossed Friedman is a serviceable seventh man but I’m not expecting much.

    Vancouver’s RHD depth:

    – Hronek
    – Myers
    – Friedman
    – Juulsen
    – McWard
    – Johansson
    – Woo

😳 I don’t even know how you can distribute those names to make a serviceable defensive lineup. Ouch

    The lineup has to be:

    – Hughes/Hronek
    – Cole/Myers
    – Soucy/Friedman

Hughes/Hronek need to eat huge minutes with the other two lines being a 2A/2B combo to shelter Myers as much as possible. It’s the only viable option outside of compromising all three duos.

  6. If canucks had a coach that would bench Myers it might be tocchet
