Your Detroit Red Wings are 4-0 when I wear my 2014 Winter Classic Zetterberg jersey and sit on the right side of the couch. 😤😤😤

After an offseason and change of constant gloating and goading from Ottawa fans, it sure is nice to go in there and make the Senators look like a clown show. The fact that Ottawa fans booed DeBrincat at every chance makes it so much sweeter. This rivalry is gonna be a spicy one.

That game has GOT to make Yzerman feel good. Well done, guys!

  4. GrayMerchantAsphodel

Joe Veleno looks really really good this year.

Didn’t pull the goalie cause they were afraid of Debrincat hitting the empty net

feel free to downvote if i’m out of line here but i am of the opinion that red wings = good, senators = bad

Not the prettiest game but I think we can safely say the better team won 😎

  9. ihatemathsomuch

If we can do that again, even if we miss the playoffs I’m calling the yzerplan a success

Things I am convinced of after today:

    * This isn’t a fluke. Our power play is elite.
    * The Wings aren’t competing just for a WC spot, we’re going to be competing for a divisional seed.
    * Ottawa has the worst crowd in the league. Pathetic really.

I’m having more fun watching hockey than I have in ten years. This feels GREAT.

    LGRW 🐙

JFV a man on a mission. PP looks incredible. I literally don’t even have a scape goat. I just pray we see this level of hockey moving forward

🫡 Husso. .947 finish today. All about it, dude played his ass off today.

  13. Hassle333

I don’t want to overreact, but we may never lose again

I feel bad for awood, I think he’s gonna have to make a lot more videos this year.

  15. Kynatris

Maybe this will shut up obnoxious sens fans for awhile.

  16. Educational_Series68

Mmm that win is so satisfying. 🖕 Ottawa.

Our PP is elite. LGRW and get that W tomorrow too.

Sens definitely had more control during 5v5 but really didn’t get a disproportionate number of high danger shots vs overall shots.

Wings absolutely decimated them on special teams though.

I wonder if that’s going to become an issue for the Sens this season with their propensity for penalties.

    LGRW!!

Bottom six is sorta nasty? The power play is obviously way outperforming what we should expect rest of year, and I don’t suspect the wings are a true division winner type of team, but a lot of the component pieces seem really sustainable and this feels like a solid wild card team to me.

I see your 5-1 Lions and raise you a 4-1 Red Wings

Loved hearing them play the Yzerman bit about the two games in Ottawa last year and how poor the play was. Complete 180 this afternoon. We beat them down big time

    First in the atlantic, folks.

Lurked the Ottawa thread. They did have a pretty good zinger. « Alex Debrincat continues his tradition of not scoring goals in Ottawa » I’ll admit I had a chuckle. They were hounding him all night so I’m not surprised he didn’t end up scoring. We’re deep enough to not need him to score 4 points a game to be competitive in games.

  23. Wakattack00

For all the Larkin doubters that still exist out there, we’ve played against Hughes, Point, Crosby, Malkin, and now Stutzle and has he not held his own, if not outplayed them? The man is for real and he’s our captain.
