As much as I hate the sens rn. One team will sustain momentum and keep on winning. While the other will shine temporarily and then get hit with reality. One of them are not making the playoffs. To early to tel which team is good and which isnt. Detroit might win against ottawa then lose to arizona. Ottawa might lose against detroit but beat vegas.

As a SENS fan, did not like the result but came up against a hot goalie and DeBrincat did not score, so we wait for next time.
All I do know is that the Red Wings power play so far this year is at almost 50 percent. That is unheard of, even through 5 games. They have got some snipers out there and I hope they can keep it up. # LGRW

Man it looks like something's brewing up in Detroit this year. Pretty sure they've scored the most goals so far this season? I know we're only 5 games in, but wow. PP is lethal. PK is shutdown. And the boys are buzzing. Like I said we're only 5 games in but man they've got a good group up there; not only the players but the coaches had them ready to start this season and you can see them cleaning up some sloppiness from the first two games. Really impressed so far.
Boy was o wron about veleno, ill eat crowe on that, ever since that assist to ghost last game, he looks like a dangerous player offensively, his confidence is through the roof and he makes this team legit by giving them a 4th liner who can make you pay, of course playing with sprong and fisher helps, those dudes were a great pick up, but so have been every free agent they picked up this iff season, way to go stevie, the boys are making them eat crowe for doubting you and them.
Korpisalo gave away the game Forsberg wins that game the difference in goaltending was really on display Korpisalo was just awful and he knows it his post game interviews pretty much indicate hes aware he must be much better if he wants to see more than 30 starts this year cause the way Forsberg is playing hes losing that net quickly might already be too late

I was looking forward to the game thinking it would be a big test for the Wings. Regardless the score it was def. a big test and I'm glad we came out on top. I think we needed this one.

As a Redwings fan, I'm stoked at the performance so far!! I hope this is the Yzerplan everyone has been talking about for years and we end up back in the playoffs (yes I know it's early in the season).
A couple of really bad calls today, and the worst one wasn't even mentioned. The Compher "slash" at 11:45 of the second period has to be one of the biggest dives I've ever seen in my life as the Ottawa player tried to lay a cross check on J.T. and then proceeded to fall down and draw the worst penalty call I've ever seen.
I hope this is a sign Detroit is about to have a season like Jersey last year

I hate blaming games on the refs but there were several missed tripping calls in the span of a minute. Then q guy falls near chychran and right to the box. Sens didnt play well but the reffing was atrocious
