Ok, you are going to have to pick up the slack now, Connors done for a month at least, so now you should break it down to the same basic style you played before the NHL…slow it all down….then execute eloquently at the end. Nobody said it would be easy.

This team will not win until this guy learns how to play D!!!
It's inexplicable how every team they've played this season seems hungrier than the Oilers. Wanting it more than the Oilers. Outworking the Oilers. Never rolling over like the Oilers. Goaltending more consistent and more solid than the Oilers. Defense quicker to defend, react and recover better than the Oilers. Getting out coached. Nashville may be one exception, but even Nashville seems to have more heart than the Oilers. Going down swinging in their game against the Oil. Just go down the list. There's a reason why this team is losing games. There may be personality issues or differences going on in the locker room. Firing Jay is not the answer. To early for that non sense. The only logical thing going on here is that key players (Connor and Leon..wink wink nudge nudge) have voiced their opinion to Jay (in private) about the new system telling Jay to drop it. Get a new game plan and Jay, as head coach, is sticking to his guns. It's his call. Leon is not happy, and you can't be that miserable 5 games in. So there's something much deeper going on. Hope Connor is ok.
It would be nice if SOMEONE in the organization took responsibility for this start.

Leon…tell your D to be faster to the puck, and then to be smart with it. At times they seem unorganized and are letting the team get to the puck before them in the defensive zone…If a D is getting 9 million+, he should be one of the best guys on the ice….haven't seen it yet.
What is the purpose of these interviews? They demonstrate journalist's desperation for a script.

It's ok guys, you will get it together, I do agree it is frustrating. Last year you lost 6 7 in a row and came back to win 10 or11 in a row. Love how Dri talks to the media. Skinner should to stay in yr net!

@1:43….I just want you to tap him on the pads and tell him not to worry about it because everybody has his back. Dont let the media make you feel like a target, there is no way this team misses the Playoffs, so why worry about things just play the games. There is sufficient time to sort out problems, every year is a new Statue that must be chipped and carved out of the cold raw stone of destiny, some years you start carving the head first and some years you start carving the Hind-end first , it matters not where you begin , what counts is where and how you finish.
