##**SAGE BONFIRE AT MY HOUSE TOMORROW**

  2. steppewarhawk

I’m willing to accept a loss but I’m not willing to accept a team playing so fucking soft. McCann had to step up and fight. Nobody except Yanni and Karts are playing the body. Nobody looks like they want to initiate contact with the other team. This is the same shit that cost us in the series with Dallas. When we were playing physical, fast hockey, we dominate. The second we start playing soft and try to be too fancy and finesse we start throwing the goddamn game away. I love the guys but it’s so hard to fuckin watch them be a soft ass team.

  3. alienbanter

Hope our banged up guys are okay. Oof. 🥴

  4. DeadlyRedCube

Well that was the weirdest hockey game I’ve seen yet

  5. DuckMads

That might be the weirdest game of hockey I’ve ever watched

  6. corndog

Yes I’d just like to say fuck Jacob Trouba. Goodnight.

  7. Olbaidon

Kitchen’s closed tonight. Nothing on the menu unless you want a *Kart* of *Yams* to take home.

  8. carolinagold_

somebody please eternal sunshine me so I can forget

  9. TheAtomicMonkey

*hello one goal my new friend…i’ve come to talk with you again…*

  10. JustWastingTimeAgain

Upcoming road schedule looks hellacious. Godspeed, boys.

  11. kanjiklubbin

Lines need a full shakeup, Hakstol needs to get a little cutthroat at this point. Dumoulin needs to go. Too many guys playing soft and careful. This was my worry with letting Sprong go – I know Hakstol hated his game but you need someone willing to sell out the defense to get a shot off. You can’t have an entire team of defensive minded players.

  12. temporacide

I’m glad the players handled the ref situation but they should consider conserving the health of our remaining forwards lol

  13. table_knife

I guess it’s time to beat some butt on the road. Maybe work off some off season beer gut while we’re at it

  14. BenSoloGhost

Worst game of the season so far. Team is looking soft AF. McCann and Kartye being the ones to step and fight wtf. Turnovers and lack of production from the top lines are killing us. Also the lights not working and having to switch sides is a fucking joke CPA. With all the money you guys charge for shit, that shouldn’t happen. On a plus, love you Yanni. Give him the fucking C

  15. SiccSemperTyrannis

Eberle and -4 and Beniers a -3 tonight. No one else was worse than -2. That top line has not looked good all season and I think they need to get broken up. Beneirs may officially be in the dreaded Sophomore Slump at this point.

If Burakovsky is not injured then I’d say something like Kartye-Beniers-Burakovsky should get a look. Maybe even Kartye-Beneirs-Yamamoto. 4th line has been consistently good so far.

Kraken are lucky none of those rangers breakaways in the second half of the game ended up in the back of the net or this would have been an absolute blowout.

Power play looks entirely impotent again. I don’t think it generated a single high danger chance this entire game. Everything is passing around on the outside before taking an easily blocked or off target shot from the blue line.

It’s absurd that Fox didn’t get a penalty for cross checking Gourde in the back after the play ended. Pretty sure the whistle had blown there. Garbage stuff from the refs.

  16. l2ooster

Good – Yanni, Yams, McCann, Kart, Dunn
    Mid – Goalies
Bad – Everybody else on the team

  17. ThrownAwayintoLF

How many reviews can be launched into one game simultaneously? We’re about to find out.

  18. Go_Hawks12

Just another abysmal performance with the schedule gauntlet still going. Sure we had injuries but that game was almost insulting. Can’t drop 7 last game and go back to 1 goal again. No one seems to give a shit except Yams or Kartye once again.

Shuffle the lines, do something. 1 goal or less in 4/5 games. If we are gonna look this bad, ship all the expiring contracts out and call up the young players and give them actual game time.

  19. blueplatespecial9

I think it’s time for a bowl of chili and a cup of rage tears.

  20. l2ooster

Good news, Jagger Firkus got a hat trick tonight

  21. DuckMads

Has anyone told the Defense that the season has started?

  22. Tashre

Feels like every game so far we’ve gotten off to fairly hot starts, but, other than the Carolina game, we struggle to capitalize off the inertia and then gradually fall behind then fall apart. It’s like if we just get one more of these early good looks in, things could snowball each night, but we’re just barely too disorganized to make it happen reliably.

There’s so much to feel optimistic about with this team, it’s just frustrating to see them not taking that last step to making it all come together.

  23. juanthebaker

I’m not especially big on fighting or retaliation. But I do think physicality was a problem in this one. NY was physical with us on the puck in a way we just had no answer for. They constantly hounded us and forced what felt like 50 turnovers.

    Just an ugly, cursed game.

  24. M-Houndoom2

How many more times are we gonna have to say « Poor Gru » or « Poor Joey » this season because of the offense shitting the bed?

    smh

  25. BucksBrew

Any of you guys play hockey? Might need some more forwards if the injuries continue.

  26. futuregoalie

I’m never negative about games but this was unnecessarily violent and fucked up, and everyone who did something shitty pretty much got away with it. The lighting was ridiculous. Gru let in some unfortunate goals but he also stopped a lot and given the lighting shit it’s a wash to me. Difficult to watch, I just wanted a happy showdown and instead the bad behavior left a bad taste in my mouth, especially from Kreider, who knows better. Very glad I didn’t go

  27. StudBoi69

What the fuck happened on Thursday?

  28. A_crackinthecup

Whoever they bring up, hope it’s someone wholl go to the net and forecheck hard. Anyways time to shake this one off and on to the next one.

  29. Playful-Celery-4346

Ugly, weird, and terrible hockey game. The lights, the refs, the weird blood…just sheit overall.

  30. l2ooster

Great, Hakstol with bad news about Burakovsky… »doesnt look short term »

  31. xoxo_luxe

maybe they need to make the team do bag skating like lindy did for the nj devils after their loss😭

  32. RyNoDaHeaux

I may have to bench Matty in fantasy…

  33. NorEastahBunny

That was truly strange…between the lights issue and the ten minute delay, the switching of sides partway through, the weird fighting, the insane officiating…

Probably sounding like a broken record here, but really loving Yamo + Karts. They get me excited each time.

Hoping that Burky is ok – that is looking like a nightmare situation if both he and Turbo are out. Bleh. Wenny, Ebs, and Matty – idk what’s happening but it makes me a sad squid cause I used to just rely on them and now I feel dread when I see someone pass the puck toward Wenny. 🙁 sighhhhhh. Settling in for the long haul no matter what but I know confidence comes from winning.

Special shout-out to Yanni and Canner…those two. 🩷🩷🩷

  34. elite_bleat_agent

Burakovsky long term injured. It’s not just the puck luck that is bad.

  35. adrianp07

almost 4 mins of PP and we couldn’t get a single shot on goal after Burakovsky got boarded, could say the game was lost then and there, even though it was still 1-1

  36. Fath0m

As weird as it is to say I think we have to sacrifice our line one as a pure defense line.

Put eberle – gourde – someone

Line two yams – beniers – tolvanen or buro

Line three mccann – wenneberg – kartye

Four bjork – belle are – whoever.

Reasoning – top line has eberle for playmaker, gourde as a veteran guy, play defensively

2nd line gets yams as a playmaker, beniers gets some room to breathe and grow. Gets matchups he doesn’t get dicked down in, he can shine.

Three – wenneberg is terrified of shooting the Puck or having it on his stick to long, mccann seems to be only guy who will Shoot. Kartye has the hustle and grit to gel the line.

    Fourth line whatever.

We got bullied hard by Rangers. Not only did they pay better, but they physically beat us up at every chance near end of game.

We are soft. Gotta change things up. Our turnovers are really bad.
