  1. LEGO!!! I am so excited. This is so cool for me. Thanks for your attention to the Red Wings. Hey, It's still a "R" word. Now the R stands for READY! GO WINGS!!!🏒 Also my hope is always that they sneak into the playoffs some how/ This year my hope is that they sneak into the Cup finals and accidently win it all!!!!

  2. For once since the Datsyuk days, I look at our roster and just smile at the lineup. Lines 1-3 are loaded, the fact that we have David Perron who is easily a 1st-2nd line player being a depth guy for us is shocking. Wings are for sure taking that next step and, once the younger guys in the farm system start making the team they REALLY are going to be lethal, especially once we get Axel Sandin Pellika

  3. Seeing them in person last season compared to this season is completely different, the energy is different the atmosphere is completely changed

  4. If edv and asp turn out like expected…..holyshit a top 4 of seider wally edv and asp looks even more scarry

  5. We're scoring at a rate of five goals per game, and only allowing 2.5 goals per. We have the best goal differential in the league, the second best power play. DeBrincat and Larkin lead the league in scoring, DeBrincat leads in goals scored, Reimer is second with a .963 sv%. While I don't think any of those stats are sustainable (though I'd be happy to eat those words if they become sustained), we're definitely seeing a much better team this year, more energy, and they're not crumbling under pressure. The energy is different, and I can see that on TV in Atlanta. I'm hoping to make it back home for a game next year sometime.

  6. I’m a long time wings fan since young Yzerman led teams. Seeing them progress back then from not making playoffs to becoming a high powered offense to perineal presidents trophy winners to finally winning the cup and being contenders for many years.. it was a long process and it took a long time for the prospects to be ready to take their place among the team.
Enjoy the season and the highs, there will be a lot of them but also prepare for the lessons that only come from heartbreaking defeats in the playoffs. The playoffs are the crucible that forges a championship team. Enjoy the moment but don’t expect them to run away with the division or win the presidents trophy or win the cup. These guys are the best team we’ve fielded since the halcyon glory days of Shanahan, Datsyuk, Lidstrom and the greatest 1&2 center combo, Yzerman and Federov. But they haven’t won anything yet.

  7. I love that Seider is just playing great, but since the rest of the team is on fire you don’t hear anything about it. The team plays as a whole unit, and it’s great!

  8. terrifying lol

they're a one line team, even your title agrees, zero chance these bums even make the playoffs lol

  9. Remember how all summer & then all through training camp everyone else around the league kept talking about how Detroit has no stars and how we needed to get someone like McDavid or Mathews? How only a few people kept defending Yzerman for assembling a TEAM of no great, but no bad players? Maybe what he was creating was hockey's version of Money Ball?

  10. I’m still skeptical of a playoff series victory but if they don’t at least make the playoffs this year I’ll be very surprised.

  11. I really enjoy watching this Wings team – I know it’s still early BUT these Wings are walking in every game with a swagger and attitude that I haven’t seen in a long time. Nobody outside of Detroit is really talking about them much (because the NHL and the media focus on the Pittsburghs, the Golden Knights, the Chicagos, etc.) so I think knowing this, these Red Wings are coming out every game so far with a chip on their shoulder and a lot to prove. They remind me a little bit of the 97 Wings playoff team and maybe more reminiscent of the 95 Devils team that absolutely killed us. If they walk in every game (and who knows whether that may be sustainable, given we’ve played a handful of games) with an attitude and a chip on their shoulder like they’ve been showing – buckle up, it’s going to be an awesome season! Call me cautiously optimistic (with emphasis on the optimist part)

  12. Born in 94, was absolutely spoiled my first 25 years alive haha. 4 cups and never missed the playoffs. It's been a rough decade. I haven't felt this good about the Wings since around 08. This team is LEGIT.

  13. Is sdpn still refusing to acknowledge Detroit? 😂😂 i havent been able to watch the delusion. Were lookin good. Good video.

  14. Wings added a ton of size and depth. The bully teams cant just bully us into submission and pummel our skill players with no retribution. Rassmussen, Kostin, Fischer, Petry, Chiarot, Holl, Seider and even Walman, Maata, Veleno and Copp are over 200lbs. Depth and size. In the NHL you mist have players who are tough to play against. Detroit has massively improved that.

  15. It's been super fun to watch, so far, but I'm still firmly in the camp of trying not to fall into the 'WE DEM BOYS!' mindset 😉

  16. Stevie Y clearly has ended the concept of a rebuild, taking a page out of Vegas's strategy. This team is clearly shooting for the playoffs. It is early yet and the first ten games don't really mean anything as the real team emerges after those preliminary games. However a team sure can dig themselves a big hole if they lose too many of those first ten. Every year some teams get off to a great start but end up falling out of the playoffs by mid season. The wings look to be for real this year for sure.

  17. Is it possible they grab Kane for a cheaper deal? Kane must be watching whats going on and wanting to be a piece

  18. I think we’re the team really shines right now is every player has a role everyone knows there role and they stick to it.

  19. It's VERY early in the season. Settle down. Yzerman assembled a team resembling an expansion team with many middle ground players with 6 years of experience on average. They are following the coach's system much better that the team did last year. There are some very smart coaches in the NHL. Jon Copper comes to mind first. They are already examining Detroit's system and figuring out how to beat it or how to copy it. There will be many ups and downs this year. We could very possibly have a cinderella run. But let's just wait until that actually happens and enjoy the moment of a team who is off to a good start. Some losses and OTL's WILL happen. The honeymoon could come to a quick end. Or maybe not. But let's keep an even head and just watch them and enjoy the show.

  20. This team is for real. Winning the Cup is not out of the question. I know that's a big statement but…. If they get hot they can beat anybody at any time.
