Brendan « literally better than Tage Thompson » Gallagher

  2. HypeForTheHypeGod

    Another Jay Gallon masterclass

  3. bcgrappler

Trading tanner pearson with a pick is the most canucks thing I can think of.

  4. mdlt97

    pretty solid game

The powerplay looked a lot better, old guy line continues to be great, + it was nice to finally see Slaf put himself in some better offensive situations where he actually has chances,

  5. manwithoutcountry

3rd in the Atlantic, pushing the ~~Leafs~~ Canes(still feels good) out of a playoff spot. Soak it up while it lasts, boys.

  6. rpn101

Tanner Pearson now has the most points on the team tied with Caufield + Monahan

  7. triscos1995

Not always sexy but we win games

  8. Instantcurry

This now means the Habs are now the best Canadian team

so much for the young Sens, the offensive juggernaut Leafs and McOilers lmao

ill eat my words at a later date but not tonight, were the best ya fuckers

  9. HabChronicle

We now lead Canada in points. We’re bound to surprise a lotta folks barring injuries, having consistent goaltending and a bit of luck!

  10. Skeletaur

Allen was incredible, keep this up, I might think we could make the playoffs.

  11. RoosterVking

David. Savard. That PK was an insane shift by him. Also beautiful game by Gally today. FUN!

  12. Beefiest_bison

Allen was a brick wall again, hopefully that calms everyone wanting to dump him for a hotdog and a handshake

  13. fortytwoanswers

Gally seems to have been told to round out his game and not just rely on greasy goals. Going against that advice has been the best thing for his game.

  14. Minato_is_God

Price-esque game from Allen, he’s been great in the last two. Pearson-Monahan-Gallagher was our best line by far. Thought Barron was solid again.

  15. BeBenNova

As everybody suspected the Habs are the best Canadian team

  16. DDDenver

The returns Hughes got for Hoffman and Petry is insane so far.

  17. slafyousilly

Are we the team Buffalo thought they were?

  18. douce_abeille

    I’m amazed by Pearson’s shot

  19. JourneyToArcana

Man, Slaf is playing so well, but he’s totally snake bit. I count at least two « third assists » but I think he might have three, and they don’t count third assists.

He also doesn’t have great chemistry with Anderson. We saw it in preseason and we’re seeing it again now.

  20. Allen Master class, the third line producing, Slaf with a sneaky good game, the blocked shots GAWD Savard. Shout out to the fourth line too for being pretty good this start of the season.

Matheson had a quiet game offensively, it seems the play died on his stick a lot, but he was good defensively. Anderson was also pretty quiet today.

We’re still great 5v5, on to the Devils game. Hoo boy.

  21. 514link

And this is without dach… but really this was allen’s win

  22. jimmym007

Ofc my fantasy opponent this week has Allen and Monahan’s 296482 FW

  23. antrage

This wont last but… LOL we are .700 team and third in the atlantic, 4th in the east

  24. FBR_MC

It’s tough to complain when you’re 3-1-1 when you’re supposed to lose, but man. Need a shuffle in the top 6 bad. Anderson is such a passenger on the 2nd line, Slaf already does what Anderson is supposed to do, so Anderson doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do and Caufield/Suzuki isn’t really working rn.

Other than that, best team in the league, we’re winning the Cup, gg ez.

  25. J_DigitalDemon

I actually liked the pp tonight? 1st pp unit shuffling around more instead of just being stagnant is a nice thing to see. They need to give the second pp unit some more time, when they got a solid minute there they generated a pretty convincing goal.

  26. Habsfan_1984

Amazing to see a PP goal that didn’t involve passing around the perimeter and a shot from distance. Love the effort out there tonight, wasn’t the prettiest at times but stuck with it and played hard.

  27. Habs_Apostle

I’m very impressed with the Habs so far this year. Yes, we were outshot tonight, but at 5-on-5 scoring chances were even (19-19) and high danger chances significantly favoured the Habs (12-4). In fact, we’re the second best team in the league in high danger chances for/against so far this season.

    Go Habs Go!!!!

  28. sean_psc

My number one concern after Dach went down, beyond how it would impact Dach himself obviously, was how it would play out for Slafkovsky. But so far, it seems like Juraj is still doing well without him, which is encouraging. The points aren’t accruing yet, but the underlying process is good.

Gallagher has been on Washed Watch for the last long while, so the past few games have been encouraging.

  29. lacoupe25

Pearson tied with Caufield for Habs points leaders 5 games in.

  30. Sensitive_Ladder2235

    What a game.

Allen standing on his head, David Fucking Savard doing David Fucking Savard shit, Evans driving play like a 1c (and the stick pass was some god-tier quick thinking), Laser Pearson saying « what? People had a problem with me on the PP? », The Sheriff shooting that Colt .45 like a Winchester, and The Lion of Montreal getting the Gallagoal *and* a 2 point night.

What. A. Fucking. Game. Gimme moar.

  31. BeBenNova

Habs acquire at the deadline, make the playoffs, Dach comes back in the first round and wins the conn smythe

  32. zzzzoooo

Like: the 3rd line, Allen, Slaf

    Dislike: penalties, the 1st line

We are a great 5-on-5 team. If we can limit the penalties and get better on PP/PK, we might have a chance to make playoffs.

  33. sudzthegreat

Imagine being a Toronto Maple Leafs fan and seeing your super team behind the « AHL Canadiens ». It won’t last, but it can’t feel good.

  34. MangoTango4949

Whatever Allen had for breakfast today and for the Caps game…. Yea he should eat that everyday

  35. ukrainianhab

    *GOOD*

    – I was at the game. Fun and always nice to see a win.

    – Gallagher was excellent. Was nice to see vintage Gallagher, I mean we know he isn’t the same but that was quite the throwback.

    – Savard. Dude was huge on that one penalty kill literally eating pucks. Very steady.

    – Monahan stands out as being very smooth.

    – Slafkovsky played well I thought. He needs to work on his conditioning a bit something I noticed he seemed to always be a bit tired or a step behind at times. However, he made some very smart plays.

    – Jake Allen take a bow he won them the game.

    – Pearson.

    – Barron is quite steady back there.

    – Pezzetta.

    *BAD*

    – Really a bit of a mess in the Habs own end. Very much a bend / don’t break strategy that likely will break more often than not with not exceptional goaltending to bail them out.

    – Harvey Pinard isn’t top line material. I think we all know this but it’s really evident he isn’t matching Suzuki or Caufield in person.

    – Habs need to get a bit meaner on the boards. Noticeably the first line struggles here, Anderson needs to sort out his play a bit so he can fit there.

  36. AllHailKingCorbin33

Tank freaks are punching air rn

  37. idontplaypolo

Pearson might actually fetch us a good return at the deadline huh
