i think anaheim picked a player they wanted more, and that is exactly what happened. the nerds who wanted fantilli second never even watched carlsson leading up to the draft. i thought it was a 5050 call and still do.
Not much buzz for him outside of the Bruins community, but Poitras is looking like a rookie gem. Kid is just 18 and will probably stay in the NHL this season. Scored 2 for us last against the ducks, and is solid on the dot as well.

Poitras in Boston has been my favorite rookie; he's in his nine game trial period, and he seems to be filling the needed role of two way centerman quite well. There's obviously a bit of bias, but you can tell he's putting everything on the table for Bruins management to consider
