this schedule can suck the fattest part of my ass. We’re supposed to suck, sure. But the way we’re getting manhandled by the undefeated teams, the cup winning teams, and the playoff hungry teams is disheartening.

    * Kurashev (wrist injury) made his season debut.
    * Bedard appeared to score on the PP, but it was overturned due to an offsides challenge.
    * Marchand tried to corral Bedard into the Bruins bench again.
    * Zacha scored on a tip. Poitras took a puck from Perry and scored on a breakaway. Frederic tapped in a loose puck.
    * Mrazek saved 40-of-43.
    * The Hawks are winless in their 3 consecutive games against the NHL’s remaining undefeated teams, getting shut out twice. They face undefeated Vegas again Friday.

We need drop the center experiment for reichel man. Slide him on 98 wings. Get some chemistry going for young ones.

  4. Heiserwulf

Hurts more that Bedards goal was called back

  5. HaggisNachos

Energy got sucked out of the building after that goal was reversed (which they didn’t even show the offside play, so I have no idea what happened). The lines just did not work so I think Richardson needs to go back to the drawing board. Really rough night for Kaiser and Tinordi too.

What Bedard needs is a another former first overall draft pick and former Hart trophy winner back on his line. Someone who’s been the leading scorer for their team in years past. Really need Taylor Hall to be healthy. Oh…you thought I was talking about Kaner??

Alright on that note, goodnight. Fuck that game.

I can’t wait until we don’t play a Cup Contender. This team sucks but is just dead in the fucking water when they matchup against the likes of Boston, Colorado, and Vegas.

End the Reichel Center experiment now and get him on Bedard’s line. We need guys that can get Bedard the goddamn puck. Shitty game all around honestly.

  8. IdelucaAlex

this schedule sucks, they aren’t playing too bad especially for a rebuilding team though, goals should start coming more when they stop playing cup contender after cup contender

  9. Did Richardson really not even attempt to pull Mrázek..?

Wasn’t able to watch the game- what happened with Bedard’s goal? I know it was reversed due to offsides but was the officiating as bad as some are making it seem?

I was never on board with Reichel as a C but only accepted it cause most people dislike the idea of going against Richard’s decisions on some players, though only a short stint, I’ve seen absolutely zero positive from him as a center. He just belongs as a wing in my opinion, I hope the experiment ends pretty fast/soon. He just never dominated as a C before either so I am shocked they were insistent on him being an NHL level C.

This matchup schedule can go straight to hell.

  13. Dr_Will_Kirby

What an absolute clown show of a call/rule on the bedard goal. Could feel the momentum shift after that bs

  14. DiKDiK316

That was the most disheartening game yet this season. End the Reichel center “experiment”, what is the point?

  15. GoldWhale

Fucking depressing. All I wanted this season was to see Bedard was a generational player 🙁

  16. Quite possibly the lamest game I have watched in years.

Absolute BS no goal call on the Bedard goal too. No matter how many times I watch it I can’t understand how they definitely could tell Athenasiou was offside without that angle that gave motion blur.

Couple things I’m interested in going forward:

Vlasic/Jones have the best +/- on the team, but some of the worst advanced stats. Korchinski/Murphy have the worst +/- but some of the best advanced stats.

Two things I’ve noticed with Bedard. First, he mishandles the puck quite a bit. Nerves? Ice quality? Bad luck? Interested to see how quickly that gets cleaned up. Second, he has trouble getting onto the puck. He routinely goes full shifts without getting his stick on it once. Will be interested to see how much of that is us playing really good teams vs other factors like line mates, learning the NHL, etc.

We still have a while before we play some regular hockey teams. This is brutal. Wonder if any team has had a schedule like this to start the year before.

  18. CorrectionCreator

That wasn’t so bad at first. Then it was bad

  19. CoalTrain9224

Couple things I want to see:

    Kurashev-Bedard-Reichel on line 1

    Korchinski > Jones on PP1

Kaiser develop some games in Rockford, try Philips a couple games. Tinordi out Zaitsev in

Work on face offs, shoot the puck more. Simple stuff
