The 4 games in 6 days showed. They were sluggish during large parts of the game. They ramped it up when they had to but it was wildly inconsistent.
I, too, was hopeful for the pp after the last game but it was total butt cheeks tonight. Maybe we can put it down to mental fatigue.
If Sean McDonough had said shutout one more time, I was prepared to go through the screen at him.
CBS sports is reporting that Lauko was cut high on the face and it did not involve the eye. That would be very good news.

The power play was better under cassidy, but they couldnt score 5v5. 5v5 is drastically better under monty, but the power play stinks. I would MUCH rather have a bad power play than have to rely on other teams committing penalties to score.

At one point we absolutely failed to defend our goalie! Had a Blackhawk right on him and we didn't pull him off and rough him up about it. …because it was Foligno and in the close up it looked like both of them were giggling about it.

Great start to the season for the team and goalies. Matty for rookie of the year 💪haha wish they would spilt up marsh and pasta on the first pp unit have a finisher on both units and marsh will shoot more instead of trying to force bad passes to pasta.. also I like lindholm but he’s kinda been bad so far this year but carlo’s been hot.

Also the problem on the PP is Marchand. He's struggled on the half wall ever since Krug left. He's not a shooting threat and when they pressure him he either fumbles the puck or chucks a grenade at Mac or Pasta. It's been nearly 3 years of him struggling in that spot. Put him down on the goal line, move Zacha (who is a shooting threat) to the half wall, and put Poitras (a righty) in the bumper.

Poitras has started great if he finishes the season with 50 points, what a year that will be, and the team has done all they can. Being undefeated after 6 games is great, fuck what they say about an easy schedule, they have completed a long road trip early in the season when teams are set and fitness and sharpness isnt there yet and come through it, the time away will aid the team bonding as players so it is great for that, sure in the coming games defeats will come but it is a great start.
Hope they don't the first home game after the trip, that is sometimes an issue.
Defense and goalies are solid, no worries about them.
We are still trying to iron out the lines and see what works, we have 2 players on each line that work well together just need the right 3rd to make it all click. Need the PP to sort itself out as well but no one can complain about anything so far surely, even those that hate Forbort😂🤣 great content as always LoQual👍👊👏
what is getting silly is the continued lack of faith by the "experts". last year they werent making the playoffs. this year, ESPN has them ranked 26th in overall organization which includes prospects and depth. Lysell and Lohrei are still in AHL and prolly will be impact players. they will also have a shit load of cap space after this season. way to go Potsie. i believed in you when the team drafted you. i think brett harrison is also going to be a player. hope Locks is ok. i love that kid.
