Umm, Ovi is slow and marginally effect now. The lineup is also slow and ineffective. I bet the Devils eat them alive tonight.
Sacrifice the team for his record. That’s some grimy junk.
The Caps have the oldest squad in NHL. As a result the team is slower than average in one of the most competitive divisions. There is no surprise. The team has been ageing badly from few seasons now 🙂.
The Caps decided to sacrifice their rebuilt when there was a good window for it in order to allow Ovi8 to break the record of Gretzky. Based on how slow he has become and how much he lacks of support, it's easy to understand that this current season and even the next one will sacrifice again…
Kuzy never delivered his full potential or at least the potential expected from him. He's an excellent C2 but never reached what you expect from a C1.
Backy is gone from years now.
T. Wilson decided to remain a clown instead of working on hockey skills. His contract will hurt the Caps for sure.
Carlson has passed his prime. Compared to other top pairing Dmen and PP1 linebacker, he is no more an elite option. He looks like the grandfather of Makar.
Oshie is done. Average at best.
There is nothing. Just a whole franchise letting his biggest star lf history to break a ridiculous record. Ridiculous because Gretzky was scoring goals until the end while being effective for his team while Ovi8 is destroying his team. Ridiculous because record or not, Gretzky will always remain more hyped than Ovi. Ridiculous because guys like McDavid and Matthews will potentially break the record.
Years and years of trading away 1st round draft picks has finally caught up with them. That's why teams like New Jersey and Detroit are on the rise and teams like Washington and Pittsburgh are trending down.
