  2. Lafferty has to be the best spent 5th round pick in a long time

  3. I thought Beau was great tonight. He was skating set up some chances, made a few good defensive plays. He didn’t score but he was good so I don’t think he was a minus. He would have been closer to a plus for me

  4. I feel like you missed the mark a bit regarding the powerplay… while they didn't score and didn't look all that dangerous, they weren't completely lethargic either. They had some solid chances (not all of which resulted in actual shots on goal, but some chances nonetheless) and close calls though. While of course it would have been better to capitalize on the power plays they did have, they benefited from dominant 5 on 5 play with Miller chipping in with the shorthanded goal too.

Personally disagree with including the powerplay as a minus here. I'd regard it as neutral. Certainly not a plus, but didn't hurt the team either.

  5. Best players playing well and winning games. Have to bank games early while these other teams struggle and then hope they can keep it going.

  6. The power play did not look bad lol. I’m watching highlights right now the power play was not bad!! Obviously they didn’t score but they just had no finish. Passing was on the perimeter but they held control a lot of the time and just couldn’t put it away. Saying it was bad was a horrible take lol

  7. I don't know what game you were watching, but I felt the Canucks were moving the puck around and controlling the play very well on most of their power plays; however, where they were lacking was in the "finish" of these power plays with actual goals- something they will need to continue to work on and develop strategies for. I think it is only fair to the Canuck players and the team as a whole that we properly acknowledge what they are doing well if we are going to also critique them on what they are doing wrong.

  8. hey mate big fan of your show from Australia but i usually listen on podcast. any chance we can get these shows uploaded again to spotify? thanks either way ! take care
