  1. These games almost feel worse to lose than a blowout. So fucking frustrating

We did *not* deserve to get shut out tonight

  2. sniknej84

That was certainly a game that was played

  3. *Really* wasn’t expecting Roslovic to legitimately look like our best player this year so far, but I’ll take it lmao

Just gotta see if he keeps it up, or if he disappear like in the past

  4. RadiantElk5352

This team desperately needs Laine back

  5. I love Nationwide but we really shouldn’t have built the arena on cursed land. We reap the benefits every single year.

  6. EverlastingEvening

Now our completely sane, and normal fans will come out and show their support in the comments /s.

Before a lot of you have some dumbass takes, take a breath.

  7. MysticEnvoy

Why the hell can we just not get the pick in the back of the net??

    At least Martin played well.

  8. -3 game losing streak

    -Johnny hockey has 0 goals

    -Got shut out…

Yeah this team isn’t going to be good this year either. Buckle up because this season is going to sucK.

Edit: oh I’m sorry you idiots love unrealistic positivity!!!!!

HUIRRRR DURRR WE’RE GOING TO THE STANLEY CUP FINALS!!!!!@

  9. RonTugMyNuts

Big boys aren’t on the board yet again…

  10. Seattlekrakenlegend

I’m glad my friends who flew across the country and spent money to enjoy their first hockey game ever got to experience….that

  11. Samuel_Vader

I love getting shutout at home. It’s my favorite. Not scoring a goal on our home ice is just embarrassing

  12. 1. Martin did his best but you can’t win with 0 goals.

    2. Vincent, please stop scratching top 6 players. You’re 0-2-1 so far doing this.

    3. Voronkov is…not ready. I knew his skating was an issue but it’s not even close. I’d rather have him playing in Cleveland and we can worry about the loan back to Russia issue when it comes.

  13. DorkCharming

I honestly thought they played well tonight, yes we got shut out but there was effort, can’t say the same last season.

  14. JunesDepartmentStore

Hopefully they can get some positive finishing regression soon, they had over 3 expected goals today (a bit more than NY did) which means they’re getting the chances just not putting them in the back of the net. With Laine out it’s maximized as well, but still there is too much talent on this team to not be scoring some goals

  15. Just an agonizing game to watch. Regroup and win the next one, hope we don’t get goalied next time.

Fun fact, Gaudreau and Marchenko together have no goals on 47 shots so far this season. I know Marchy was scratched tonight, but yeah, those goals will come.

  16. Sometimes, you’re gonna get Varlamov’d.

  17. Samuel_Vader

At what point will people stop saying « we got goalied »? We’re outshooting our opponents but the shots aren’t quality shots. Most of them are right into the goalies chest. They’re really not getting challenged

  18. Independent_Context4

Earth to Johnny, Z, Texier and Marchenko. Make the heck up!!!

  19. NontransferableApe

Hate to say it. But we need another top pick. I like our system i like the effort of our guys. I know we’re not going to lose all season and it’s not going to be anywhere close to last year. I just hope to see the young guys start driving lines and taking on more responsibility in the second half of the year. This was always a growth year

  20. ASillyGoos3

this might be controversial but Eric Robinson and Nick Blankenburg scored today against a 34 year old longtime NHL goaltender

  21. Eravionus

I’d like to apologize. I am 0-6 the last 3 years going to games. I’ll stop attending.

  22. Fabresque_

Real quick: Is anyone totally opposed to seeing Blanks back out there?

  23. Fabresque_

    1. It was sort of one of those games, puck just wouldn’t go in despite all the effort.
    2. Defense fell asleep at the worst moments, Severson and Provorov at best have been a mixed bag for us.
    3. Martin was fantastic and kept us in it.
    4. Is it time we talk about scratching Tex?
    5. And the main point, along with Tex, Johnny, Z, and Marchenko have one goal combined, an empty netter. We really need more, it’s not just about effort it’s just that we need someone to start scoring out of those 4.
    6. We miss Laine. Fuck Anderrson

I think we blew the Anaheim and Montreal games. Should’ve been 4 points not 2, then a loss tonight wouldn’t have been that bad. Now we go to a Cup contender next and then welcome Tampa. The season might start spiraling quickly here if we can’t figure shit out.

  24. Seattlekrakenlegend

We do have a legitimate good backup right now. Spencer is solid out there.

  25. Green9510

Its just growing pains season. Think about it we legit been in every game but 1 through 55 minutes. After last year, even with night like this, is encouraging especially after last year’s shitshow country club.
