Hunter, I've bitched at Damper about this when he dropped the same thing:

Please. Look up. The. Definition. Of. Insanity.

Cause it ain't that meme that everyone quotes.

Sorry, it's a huge pet peeve of mine.

    Great episode, lads. LGP

  2. If they want to sustain more O zone pressure overall, they need to change how Mike Sullivan wants them to play. The common denominator with failed Pens teams recently is Sullivan. He needed to be fired awhile ago

  3. my man dubas went from one talented team that can't be bothered to show up some nights to another. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  4. I'm glad to see Dubas isn't going to hesitate if something isn't working. Harkins was basically invisible and the one time he wasn't he took a bad penalty, so on to the next guy. Ron Hextall would've waited till the trade deadline like he did with McGinn and Kapanen last season lol.

  5. Last time I checked, the game is 60 minutes not 20 minutes. Hopefully changes will be made before Saturday? Always listening guys!👍🏻

  6. Id like big z and white (if accari is hurt) , this keeps carter at the wing where he at least had a few chances.

  7. Bottom 6 is definitely still an issue in the young season. I like that Kyle Dubas is not like his predecessor, Ron Hextall, and just sits around and accepts the status quo. I feel he is going to try numerous forwards from Wilkes Barre to see what he has and if nothing is there, I think you'll see him go outside for help.

The third pair defense ,PO Joseph and Chad Ruhwedel, did not have a good night last night but I will say, Erik Karlsson was a one man wrecking crew in that third period he took over that third period and showed you what he is capable of and what kind of dynamic he does bring to The Penguins.

If you looked at his Corsi and Fenwick numbers on Natural Stat Trick, especially in that third period, if it wasn't for Ville Husso, The Penguins may have scored more goals The Penguins had dominant possession numbers in the offensive zone when Karlsson and even Crosby were on the ice in that third period. It goes back to that bottom 6, I know they are not mean to light up the scoreboard, but you need to. get some contributions from them. I like that Dubas is being proactive and not just sitting around and hoping things improve.

Absolutely, you cannot make any judgements this early in the season about who is a playoff team and who is not. You can't make the playoffs in October, now you can put yourself behind the eight ball with a horrible start, but you cant make the playoffs in October

  8. Sully needs to spread out the top six, to force a third line into existence. Sid and Jake with another wing, Geno and Reilly with another winger, Rust and Rakell with Eller. DOC played really well with Sid and Rust in the preseason, I imagine he'd do really well with Sid and Jake. You could put big Z on the line with Geno and Reilly, and then you have Carter-Acciari-Nieto.
While you're at it, make POJ and Chad healthy scratches and give Ludvig and Shea a chance.

  9. We just had a bad second period I really liked the third period in which the penguins dominated!!!

  10. Does anyone else get a laugh out of football analytics treating 4 games like it's a good sample. A damn full NFL season isn't a good sample size.

  11. Red wings fan here.
    Karlson looked elite.
Crosby – Malkin looked as they should.
But, bois, that bottom 6 of yours is trash. With the injury history of Malkin, Crosby getting older, and Karlson’s injury past, this could be a long season. But #LGRW!

  12. Not to be rude, but at 10:40, you were very contradictory with saying, "you can't keep running back the same unit, and thinking that it's going to change" after earlier saying that it's only 4 games in AND that you referenced there are 8 new players on this team. Can't have it both ways. Continuity is going to take time. If a projected unit is going to work, they need time, plain and simple.

Also, as it relates to O'Connor, he isn't a third or fourth-line player. His skillset isn't geared toward that style of play. He is an offensively-talented kid who's skillset better suits him to play a creative game, not a grinding, puck-possession type of game. He can finish. He isn't the kind of guy to be physical in the corners, dig a puck out and find players. I would find a way to incorporate him on one of the top 2 lines if we want to see any production out of him. I would switch him and Rust. I don't think the side he plays on should matter much. Rust can score and he can grind, he's better suited for a third-line role. You get use out of Rust down there, and you may spark the offense that O'Connor needs to show by placing him with Crosby and Guentzel.
