4 game losing streak. Gotta get those out of the way early I guess

Sick of hearing about how good our opponents goalie is

    1. The turnovers were a disaster tonight.

    2. Good for Voronkov.

    3. We gotta stop scratching guys like KJ and Marchy. When you scratch a top 6 forward who is driving play but is snakebitten on finishing, it turns out to have a negative effect. You could scratch nearly everyone in the bottom 6 right now, plus one or two defensemen. Just because « scoring isn’t their role » doesn’t mean they should stay in the lineup when we’re struggling with finishing.

Tied going into the 3rd, end up losing by 2. This team will eventually learn how to compete late in games, right?

    Edit: a word

We’re not even 10 games into the season. There is absolutely time to bounce back. If we *still* keep losing like this by Thanksgiving, then sure, be concerned. It’s a young team and a young season. Things do not always click and fall into place immediately.

Gaudreau is broken. 9 games is over 10% of the season and dude is sitting at 4 assists.

Dallas is too good to expect us to really win that game, but the lack of gas tank this team has in third periods is a *major* problem. I dunno if this team just completely gave up on working in the off season after two years of Larsen’s country club, but they have zero gas tank.

The Stars skated circles around this team in the third. Werenski, Gudbranson, Olivier, Sillinger, Severson, and Bean were all absolutely beat in the third. No excuse for this.

Skate these fucking guys until they puke tomorrow, Vincent. If they don’t wanna put the work in to be in shape, coaching staff has to force the issue.

Practice should be reallly fun for the boys the next few days.

Eh we hung in there for 50 minutes against a cup contender whose goalie was on fire. Less mad about blowing this one than Anaheim or Montreal

Lots of issues all around with the team. It’s frustrating. They are better than last year, but they still aren’t good. Offense is doing a much better job entering the offensive zone (apart from tonight’s game) and getting shots, but they can’t turn shots into goals. Elvis, man. I love Elvis. I want him to be great, but he just isn’t. Put Martin in. I understand that lacking defense makes his job harder, but there’s more to it than that. Martin plays better behind the same defense. Elvis’ numbers are abysmal, and that’s just the hard truth. Finally, the team simply cannot play a whole game. It’s probably partially mental, and partially training/conditioning. I’m sure it’s hard to not feel defeated in the third when Elvis lets everything in and all your shots haven’t turned into goals, but even when they’re leading for the first 2 periods, they still just stop in the third. Bag skate the shit out of them.

I’m going to the game on Thursday — do we need to keep hearing the speech about excellence in all we do?

  12. Samuel_Vader

At what point do we start getting concerned about Johnny? He does not look good

  13. NotMittRomney

on the bright side that felt like sillinger’s game in a long time

also as much as i love texier i think he should be next on the healthy scratch carousel. dude was invisible tonight.

This team shows stretches of really good play but jeez, they just cannot string it together for an entire game.

What’s frustrating me right now is that our most skilled guys don’t seem to be playing with any fire or desire. Namely Z, Gaudreau, and KJ. I’m not looking for them to be getting in fights or taking the body , just something…..more? It really feels like they are going through the motions out there for long stretches.

It’s probably not fair — they aren’t going to look the same out there as a guy like Danforth or Tex due to their style of play — but they really don’t seem to be hard guys to play against.

With Fantilli being the one exception. He seems to go hard every shift.

    1. Turnovers. Again. Appalling amount of mistakes.
    2. Big names going missing, you already know who they are.
    3. Why are we unable to play good for a whole 60 minutes? We do we play good for 20, shit for the next 20, shit for the 10 after that, wake up for 2-3 minutes, then back to shit.

It just doesn’t make sense really.

  16. Ok-Bandicoot-9445

werenski on the ice for SIXTEEN shots against at even strength alone… holy momma. sickening.

johnny now at a whopping 4 points in 9 games. on pace for 36 points lololol.

  17. Fabresque_

How are we always tired? You’re professional athletes in the best league in the world, do these dickheads not go to the gym or have workouts?
