Woody did not get out of this himself, his adjustments were given to him online by the Fanbase. Yes they worked in all 3 zones.Its that easy. Both directions.
Almost sounds like he thinks the oil have "turned a corner" or remembered they are actually an NHL hockey team. , It'll be a gut-wrenching, sleepless reality check on the morning of Nov. 3rd after playing Dallas…..or any other actual NHL team for that matter! Second from the bottom of the league "contenders"…..
An important win. Wouldnt really think it being so early in the season but both teams needed a win tonight. Great venue for the heritage classic.
The team had a more focused hustle going, helped the plays and recovery from broken ones.

Guys I still think the only problem with this team is Goaltending. You just cannot trust it at all. Played a good hockey game tonight. Didn’t like that 2nd goal we gave up tho.

Glad to see Vinnie scored. Hope he got the puck somehow. Team looked much better. 97 skated well put the puck wasn't sticking to him. Meh no biggie.I thought the refs missed some calls but them the breaks. PP not needed tonight, which is what we need to see all season to achieve any success. I think the 3rd line will be putting up points nightly by the end of November. The chemistry is there. Now we need to get both goalies above 900 and keep chipping away at the wins.

Victory is victory. But unfortunately it was a victory over a team that has only defeats, this time. The Oilers again had a large number of delusions and the opponent implemented them. And Woodcraft, by the end of the 1st period, mixed everyone in the links again – and this is what brings huge problems to the team. The fact that the coach does not allow players to play in one link, but prevents them from playing in different ones during the match, looks as if McDavid and Draisatl went out on the ice in sneakers and with beer. This would cause a storm of indignation and accusations of their unproffessionalism, but the game that Woodcraft is doing with the players and their relationships in the links goes unnoticed… There's nothing to be happy about, one unplayed team beat a team that is not in shape at all.

I dont care what any one says….letting Yammer go is proving to be a mistake.. He provided energy….yeah he was small….but he brought the energy and skated very well…..and in his place they brought in nobodys. That is on Ken Holland.
