I remember hoping for a Nick Backstrom type player if it all broke right. High end playmaking center that is the perfect compliment to a superstar. Was ready to get more of a secondary type like Stastny/Stepan and worried that it would go Canucks on me and he’d be like Val Filppula.

Little did I know he’d be Nick Backstrom with Alex Semin’s shooting talent.

Based on the practice lines, he’s usually a 2nd line center behind Miller, so it’s pretty accurate.

  3. I remember being very upset we picked Petey over Glass. Even fans all over social media were pissed off too lmao.

  4. Quantum_Descent

Can we get an updated weight on Petey? He’s still listed as 176lbs, guy is at least 190 now the way he counter hits and throws his mass around

  5. I remember that slight on his physicality every time he reverse hits some one and chuckle.

  6. If this core can win some playoff series there’s going to be a mountain of receipts getting cashed in.

« Weakness: Physical Play » lmao how the turntables, the man throws his weight around now and is pretty physical on the forecheck lol.

  8. Jaded-Ad-289

Can we also get one with our captain Hughes draft

  9. I believe he was also missing the x factor or something.

You should see who TSN compared JT miller to when he got drafted lol

  11. teeceaustralia

Weren’t wrong about his strengths, just didn’t list enough.

  12. TheFrozenCanadianGuy

Now he has the hardest slap shot in the league, is physical and scores like an alien.

I will never forget … that Thomas Gradin knows more about scouting hockey players than the media.

  14. Peter Stastny has over 1200 points. Being compared to him is a great thing…not sure what the problem is.

    Oh…they said *Paul* Stastny. Haaaaaaahahahahaha
