  1. As a D man myself and having played with some guys in the NHL… he’s 100% right. Toronto D is super soft and when the forwards don’t perform it just gets worse. When I played I made it miserable for the other team to get close to the net, they absolutely hated playing against me and that’s what the leafs need more of. FYI I’m 6’5” 285 so ya you won’t see much of that on the leafs sadly.

  2. Laughs PEAKED last year going to Round 2!! Leafs have great offense, mediocre D and Woll has done well taking over the #1 goalie job. We'll see

  3. When you say “Depth” don’t you mean Defence? They haven’t have a good D in at least 20 years. Mess says “Big Strong Defensemen twice, then says uncomfortable in front of the net. When your #1 D man is 200lbs soaking wet and barely 6’, and would likely be on a second pairing on Vegas or Carolina, the answer is obvious and the Leafs showed mid season Crappy D form.

  4. Leafs traded Sam Lafertty to keep Minten in the lineup for 3 games. Now their penalty kill is suffering. Mismanagement of assets is killing this team. Also signing reaves was a joke. He is utterly useless when it comes to anything but fighting

  5. The Leafs just need 6 new Dmen and a new 3rd and 4th line, and a cheaper core to let them get these pieces. But asides that 👌

  6. What everyone's always said….their defense is softer than a soup sandwich, and most of their top 6 as well
