But seriously cant they sign some old free agents to slap everyone’s ego internally ? Gagner just scored 2 in his first game as an Oiler, they still lost, but they didn’t get humiliated.
At this rate its gonna be hard to rebuild if there is not even a foundation to build on top of, no pieces to trade for relevant picks or if you throw all your prospect straight into the fire playing agains the best lines of the opposition 24/7.

Alexis Lafrenière from the Rangers for LW Hoffman, D Burroughs and the 2024 1st Round pick from Pittsburgh, and Patrik Laine from Columbus for LW/RW Leblanc, a prospect like say Barracuda Winger Jacob Peterson and the 2024 2nd Round pick from New Jersey.
I think Lafrenière and Laine are both underachievers who could be good together, like Hull & Oates or Kariya & Selanne, besides, what have the Sharks got to lose?
Could have brought Joe Thornton back in before he retired. At least have a big name on the roster and help provide leadership.

There are times we watch and enjoy a movie because it's not just bad, it's so bad that it's entertaining to watch. That is the Sharks this year. I mean the best part of the game was how excited the 100 fans that were for their 1 goal. That was classic to have witnessed.
