The game started great for the Isles, but they folded entirely in the 3rd period. I really think this was more of a coaching problem than issues with the players. Lambert had them act like the entire 3rd period was a massive penalty kill, almost no forecheck or proper zone exits. Nelson messed up horribly in overtime, but that is a minor concern compared to what happened after the Canes scored that first goal. As an Isles fan, this was the most disappointing game I've seen them play in a while.
Islanders coach should have called a timeout when the canes scored their second goal, his team was listless in the third and gave Carolina free reign….what ever happened to body checking to throw your opponent off their stride…or even start some fights to change tempo…this loss hurt, don't see a point as compensation…………..this one is on the Coach !
5:47 Andrei had a Shot on Goal. They gave him the stat then 30 minutes after the game they said it was a blocked shot. How? It was saved. That stat needs to be corrected!
Sorokin is a real pain for fantasy. Twice now, this game and the Detroit game, going into the third I want the Islanders to hold for the shutout fantasy points but Islanders end up losing both games SMH
