Every team goes through adversity. Never forget the losing stream we had during Tippet's exit. We still made the playoffs. It's quite obvious McDavid is playing injured. Hope we get it together soon
From my perspective, it's not a reasonable expectation that players can play a 60 minute "mistake free" game. Mistakes will happen and some how we need a save when it happens. If the players don't play free, they can't score, and if they can't score and the goalie can't make saves then you get an offensive juggernaut team that is completely done. If this keeps up the Oilers will be in the running for the first overall draft pick in 2023-2024 which they will need to replace McDavid or Draisaitl who is going to seek greener pastors else where. We need to make a trade to save this season.
I believe they will get back on track, don't want to put blame on anyone but our goalies sucks, you get payed millions of dollars that yr job to stop pucks.
I might not agree with some of the player changes but this team will get it together. To me I think Holloway is ready to break big but that's me. Lots of new players so it takes time to get a common play of each. The other teams have McDavid and Draisaitl mostly tied up. I think there is some inner turmoil that needs resolving to move forward but they will never say.
Queneville used an NHS-Adjusted-Hybrid System to win his Cups, this is very close to what the Oilers have been trying to do, he would literally not miss a beat and be an instant Playoff upgrade.

Someone, A GOALIE, could come in and magically fix this. They rank DEAD LAST in save percentage. Brutal. Get a goalie.
