Bill Spaulding ajoute : Lindy dit qu’il pense qu’ils ont eu de la chance compte tenu de la gravité de la blessure.

It could be worse. It might suck but we got the depth to power through. It’s so nice to say that after all of these years of heartache.

    The most predictable outcome

Fuck. Not great. Was optimistic after the “avoiding worst case scenario”.

I’ll take Lindy’s optimism here since we’re not gonna find out anything more from the team about what the injury is specifically. Good time for some other guys on the team to step up and/or find their games (Mercer, Holtz, etc).

I remember watching the season Marty went down for half the year and the doom and gloom that surrounded the team, only for the boys to come together and play some great hockey through his absence. Jack being out sucks but his situation is sounding less dire than it could’ve been and there’s some Dawgs on this team that can still make plays in the meantime.

Get well soon Jack and let’s see the Devils finish this road-trip strong and then try and get the Captain back.

  5. He was out week to week last year and he came back in about 1 week. Hopefully not too long this year too but I’m not getting my hopes up

Such nebulous language it does nothing for me. Avoided the worst, week to week. Crickets on Nico too. Just gotta hope the boys can keep up the offense without jack and that our goaltending can wake up. Schmid was solid last game

Aren’t we all week to week?

  8. hobbygod

    Hopefully back against the rags

🙁 this season has been beyond frustrating so far

    Hello darkness my old friend

  11. hotstickywaffle

We’re about to put our offensive depth to a real test. Mercer has a big opportunity here.

  12. dudehimself3

Have to try to stay in the wildcard race until Jack and Nico are back. Hopefully Nico is much closer than week to week.

Maintaining consistent winning results with the current squad is not realistic.

  13. DisasterOne1365

Hopefully, they learn to play team hockey and actually play defense while Jack is out.

  14. tECHOknology

Might be beneficial for the team to learn how to play without him for a bit!

week to week, so far with our schedule thats been 2 games lol

  16. -PoeticJustice-

2-4 weeks, so that’ll be rough the longer it drags on. Would definitely bet a concussion, hopefully he progresses well, comes back healthy, and picks up where he left off for the rest of the season.

  17. tECHOknology

Just spit balling, but may be worst Case scenario was the shoulder being dislocated again and it’s just weakened, sore and loose instead?

  18. sanbaba

week to week, so maybe more than a concussion. Sucks. …could be worse, i guess, and tbh I wanna see these guys sink or swim a tiny bit. They’re all missing the net by millimeters. I feel like we can do this.

  19. TheNightRain68

I’m assuming 2-3 weeks. Not terrible. Hoping for a quick and full recovery

  20. RunningM8

Damn, well it could’ve been worse. But this still really stings. Definitely not a concussion.

  21. mustachiolong

Week to week but not on LTIR. That’s good news as it shows that this isn’t anticipated to be TOOOO long.

  22. gothenburgpig

McDavid, Jack, Nico, Shesterkin, Fox all injured. Yikes for the NHL

  23. _irishpapi

Will always suck losing Jack but Lindy using Fortunate is a positive sign

  24. trektostng

Anyone else feel this a weird beginning to this nhl season. Not just with the Devils but with other teams too. Canea are doing the best. The Oilers are shocking me with how bad its going for them. All the injuries. The Sharks being way worse than a bottom team even should be lol. I dont know. Its spooky lmao.
