That is an "Intent to Injure" penalty. I would give him at least a 10 game suspension for that. Let's face it, the NHL has no player safety measures.

My son's hockey game this weekend had one kid elbow another kid low and into the face. Unsportsmanlike conduct, he was out for 10 minutes but his team wasn't down a man.
DOPS remains the biggest joke around. Absolutely insane. Regarding the plugging other channels, I can see that getting old fast if it is 10+ seconds each time. Maybe just a quick voice over at the end with links to those channels? Something like "thanks for watching, as a reminder we have the ____ and ___ channels as well, links to those in the description, we recently covered X topic." Maybe only do that every few videos to avoid viewer fatigue? Idk, just a thought. Love the content!

What would all of you do if you couldn't piss and moan about the officiating? The video was carefully watched, probably from every angle, and more than once, by lifetime hockey professionals and this is what they came up with. Perhaps they actually have more information and knowledge than you? I guess if it makes you feel useful.

Funny how no one leaves the benches to fight now that its a 10 game ban hammer coming down on them. This is clear intent to injure in a non-hockey move on a defenseless player. Start dropping minimum 10 game ban hammers on every act that fits this description and watch how quickly it stops. NHL department of player safety is a joke right up there with MLB not wanting bench clearing brawls and NASCAR not wanting fights in pit lane.
Benn came down a little harder and I guess that's why he got one game more. Benn should have gotten more than 2 and this should have been more than 1.

Last year the Avs Makar got a one game suspension for shoving a player into the boards after the whistle. Kraken player almost breaks Cogliano of the Avs neck, two minute minor. So inconsistent and infuriating. Did we not learn from the “ incident “ between Bertuzzi of the Canucks almost crippling Moore of the Avs with a sucker punch to the head.
