The work ethic is not there, if it was you wouldn't be sitting on the bench b/c the coach would know you are working hard. I have seen him try for maybe 10 min this season. Not sure about both seasons but it is not much more than that. Maybe he was lazy in Florida too. I don't know about that but give the fans some hope. At the very least try to back check and skate like your not on holiday.
It's a shame that Pelts is going to be out so long because I think Pelts would be to Huberdeau what Zary (and Shango) is turning out to be with Kadri. Huby will find it. I think things are just so different than what they used to be in Florida. One of these young guys will find timing and rhythm with him. Until then, keeping it simple and don't try to be a 10.5 million dollar solution to the team's issues. Keep your head up, Huby!
I think we need to do what Philly did for Trea Turner and just cheer this guy on, if the dome doesn't give this guy a standing ovation next home game, we're not doing our jobs as fans of the club.
I hated his use of the term "deception." All I hear is "low percentage play", one that can easily deceive linemates just as easily as the competition.
A hockey players game must be based on making the smart and simple play first, and the "deception" scoring play second only when time permits. If Huby starts focusing on making the simple play the results will come.
Ive always rooted for ya hubes and not like these other posers out there only cheer when we winning but im also not a pssy and will be your harshest critic and try and keep your spirit up brother , now get out there and kick some ass!!!
A great player that’s been snake bitten since his trade while Tkachuk has fit in at Florida with success. Hubby will find his game face with the flames this season but maybe not after this benching, more then likely when it’s to little to late.
Could it be that Huby's natural talent is being free a wheeler who is inhibited by a structured system? I hope he finds his game, its there somewhere. Classy guy though.

Huberdeau is a class act, and Hockey fans are cheering for him to turn things around.
