   This group has no identity. They’ve stagnated, way too many holes in the lineup and players being asked to go in to roles they literally aren’t capable of.

   This team as it is today is nowhere even close to a Stanley cup contender. No jam, no juice, they’re no Vegas or any other contender who will grind you down and destroy you shift after shift after shift. Until changes happen we’re going to be here after every game debating the same stuff.

   Last night was a game where it’s the start of Shanny’s tenure being thrown out the door. Because of his emotional decision to keep his job and probably his hatred for Dubas for who the fuck knows what we now have a GM that has no fucking clue what he’s doing. Dubas may not have been the answer but there’s no fucking way Brad is even close to the answer especially the disaster he left in Calgary.

   Here’s Ottawa, a divisional rival that has had a horrible week. Negative media coverage, captain lashing out in the media, calls for DJ’s head. Fresh off the heels of the Dorian mess.
   So come to Toronto, we won’t step on your throat. We’ll make sure you have loads of confidence by the time the final horn sounds. You’ll be back on your feet in no time.

   Over and over and over – you want a negative streak to end? Just face TML, they’ll fix what ails you.

   How many times are we gonna let this happen?

   Injuries on defense are really hurting us as that group fell apart in the 3rd.

   Still think this subreddit is the worst in all of sports on game day.

   People calling out shanahan for firing dubas even though dubas’s penguins are 5-6 .

   People saying this cores Stanley cup window is closed with absolutely no evidence.

   Offense seems fine, woll was off all night, defense was off all night (injured), Just keep grinding and eventually we will go on a run.

   Leafs fans are smarter than the MLSE management thinks. They know when the team is shit and last night the team looked completely disjointed by any Leafs fans. But if they try to peddle this garbage that they have no fucking clue about their fanbase.

   And how the fuck did we not have better D men on our roster? We literally had this same fucking problem like 2-3 years ago. It was only last season where Dubas actually got like 9 defensemen at the ready and had like gritty players like Benn on our D roster. Same fucking mistakes over and over.

   I’m so done with Reaves. He brings tremendously little on the ice. That last minute was just embarrassing, meandering around trying to fight Kelly and MacEwen.

   Sick of Klingberg, I said it last night and I stand by it, he’s not a defenceman, he’s just a guy who wears a low number and stands behind everyone else during power plays. Keefe wants to shelter him more? How much more do we have to shelter a guy making top-4 money?

   Don’t mind Bertuzzi’s play, he still looks a bit slow and lost on some plays but he’s not holding the team back. I think the production will come over time.

   Pretty enthused by Domi. He’s still looking for a goal but he looked a lot better on a line with Robertson and Järnkrok than he did saddled with Kämpf. He’s made some flashy defensive plays, and while that’s not always a good thing it’s nice to see someone defending. Domi seems like he’s finding his groove here.

   No matter what the fuck happens this season I want Willy back. He’s the only one that deserves that extension. He’s been a hard ass worker and lived up to his job.

    I think Klingberg should be sent to the Marlies to train whatever the fuck he needs and get his shit together. Then if he deserves it then come back up.

    It legit feels like you mitigate 50% of the defensive woes off the bat by just removing Klingberg.

    You’d probably mitigate another 25% by simply ensuring Gio can play on the bottom pair.

    Chuck another 10 or 15% to taking Reaves out of the lineup. I liked the Reaves signing, initially, but the guy has done fuck all. He’s changed absolutely nothing and is a -9. And he’s dragging down the 4th line.

    I can’t stand to watch klingberg stand around doing nothing on every goal against any longer

    Rewatching some highlights… team looked very meh last night, but the 3 goals in 3 minutes with 10 mins left in the 3rd can be pinned on three guys

    Gio gets outmuscled going to the net on the first one because he’s a step late on Giroux… guy is probably exhausted with the minutes he’s getting lately

    Klingberg pulled a “controller died” play on the second goal and completely abandoned his assignment, ultimately getting crossed up with Lagesson and allowing the Sens to score on the beauty tic-tac-toe play

    Last goal was on Woll. Gotta be more aware of your surroundings as a goalie.

    We’ll be fine guys- just need to make a few adjustments
