They will never take Erik Johnson out of the lineup. Dylan Cozens is really struggling. He can stay on his feet and is a giveaway machine. It is amazing that our record is what it is

I thought Sabres played a great game dispite the Zebras trying to give The Wild every opportunity to tie the game.
Skinner is so far this season especially the heart and soul of this team, I am still waiting for someone else to show the passion for the game he does on a consistent basis. Cozens is the only one I can think of that is close.
Krebs and Cozens were not good. I liked Savoie’s game. Felt like Krebs was hurting that line a lot.
Hope he gets more time but he needs line mates that see the ice like he does. Krebs and Rousek isn’t ideal. Put talent around him like they did with Benson.
I was hoping once Cozens game seemed to be off that they would put Savoie with Skinner and Thompson for a few shifts but I think the penalties limited any chance at that and then Savoie had that one shift where he tried making good passes that went off a skates or sticks where the puck got turned over and that lead to granato giving him zero ice time in the 3rd.
Clifton hasn’t been any better than Johnson. Clifton makes some bone headed plays while Johnson seems more steady
Need Quinn and Tuch back. Zebras were brutal. Cozens line was a giveaway machine. Levi stole that one. Do you play him again in Pittsburgh since he’s used to back to backs at the college level??? At least they didn’t do the goofy drop pass to try and enter the offensive zone? Can’t send R. Johnson down with the way he’s been playing- I don’t think anyone expected him to be outplaying E. Johnson at this point in the season. Mitts is a beast. Special teams in trouble.
I hate to cry about officiating but man that crew hated the Sabres! They let the wild do whatever they wanted in the third
This might be an unpopular opinion but this type of game is exactly what I like to see. Clearly off their game, not playing super well but found a way to win. Literally one more of these last year would’ve gotten us to the playoffs.
I would rather take Clifton out than Erik Johnson.
That play where Mittelstadt stole the puck from Kaprizov and set up the odd-man rush was incredible. Should have been a goal. In addition to his O-zone puck possession, which was McDavid-like, up until the finish. If he gets that last part down, he's going to be everything he was drafted to be and then some.
Totally agree. Middelstadt played great, and has been playing great often lately. So glad Adams didn’t listen to the fans when everyone was calling for him to be traded, (myself as well). He’s becoming a reliable hard nosed and skilled vet. I’m glad he’s here.
Mittelstadt Yes great game for sure,he is on fire! But Devon Levi is the biggest difference maker for the Sabres,no other Sabres goalie will compete with him day in day out…

I thought they played well tonight. Levi was great and is the biggest reason they win, but I thought they looked fine. Last game against the Canes was a bag of dogshit and horribly embarrassing and most of you were happy little school girls to get the point….
