Peterka has been great all season and was one of the few keeping things afloat when the Sabres were struggling early on. He ranks 21st in points/60 and 19th in goals/60 and evolving hockey’s GAR model estimates he’s been about a 89th percentile player this season. Not bad for someone in their DY+4.

He really showed there was a lot more to come after dominating in international play for Germany in the off-season.

Thought he played well last season too but didn’t have puck luck or finishing. He was getting to the right spots and had opportunities.
This season the goals are coming. Greater things are yet to come.

It just sucks that Quinn could, and likely would, be having the same breakout season along side JJ if he was healthy. And it could have swung a couple of these early games too.
