This is only a bad contract if you don’t know hockey very well. Palat isn’t on this team to score regular season points. Come playoff time, he’s clutch and has come close to a point-per-game in some years. We’ll be thrilled to have him on the books at this amount come playoff time again this year.

I think Palat is maybe a little overpaid but in terms it’s not too bad. The Hubby contract on the otherhand is insane!
