Damn, good for him but curious to see who’s coaching the AHL team now.
Good for him. I feel like he was being groomed to be a future NYR coach but we wanted a guy with experience with how things ended with Gallant. I hope he has success in Edmonton. Although this does suck for Hartford that’s been cooking this year

What can you tell me about Knoblauch as a coach?
Not surprised as i assume he wanted a job and he wasnt gonna get it here, but somehow still baffles me how fast he was taken between last night and now.
But at least he gets his shot now and always happy when the league breaks the cycle of the ol boys club and try outside coaches
Oiler fan- anything interesting about him or any of his systems? Thoughts on the hiring?
Obviously I’m happy with Laviolette so far but I’d be lying if this doesn’t give me a case of the scaries imagining him turning the Oilers season around and winning a cup.
I’m kinda bummed about this the Rangers were pretty clearly grooming him to be a future HC and he’s done well with Hartford. I’m happy for him and glad an NHL team is taking a risk and not just hiring another retread but this definitely stings a bit.
Happy for Knob to get his opportunity! This is an objective loss for us as an organization. Hopefully we find a suitable replacement.

a shrewd decision here would be to bring in one of Carvel/Leaman/Pecknold/Vellucci to take over in HFD
