I like what he has to say about holding players accountable. One of Woody's faults is that he would bench a young player for a whole period or game but would not hold veterans accountable.

I continued cheering for the Oilers as one of their biggest fans when they traded Gretzky. I continued to support them when they traded Ryan Smith, I held out hope after the Chris Pronger fiasco. I understand that sometimes a coach must be replaced for the benefit of the club but this is unacceptable to me. Jay was a great coach and a great representative of the Oilers organization. This guy is an empty vessel in comparison. The team is responsible for their horrible start and the 2 best players in the NHL just haven't shown up. Jay was the scapegoat and I am now embarrassed for the Oilers front office executive team. How many goals do number one and number two have combined this season? And you fire the coach that tranformed this team dramatically after a dozen games? The losers in this organization are not the players or their former coach…just saying.

they went from Jay to this guy why?!?! gonna be a horrible coach who does nothing for the players of the Edmonton Oilers except get fired in a few months, way to show how devoid of hockey sense you are guy sent to keep the Oilers a terrible team that no other team owner in the NHL respects cuz the league would rather have no Canadian team in the Nhl.
Kris is a likeable guy but man I still think firing Woody was a huge mistake. Hope I'm wrong.
