  1. This is surprising after they won the last game. I'm somewhat torn about this move. The season has been an unprecedented failure thus far… Next man up, as they say.

  2. Offensively they had a good game against SJ, but at both defense and offence they had unforced errors, due to undisciplined play. The Seattle game was definitely better, but their problems are much deeper.

Last season, they were propped up by a great power play unit, which overshadowed their general undisciplined play. And the power play, along with poor coaching decisions was the result for their barely getting past LA, and then their loss to Vegas in last years playoffs.

  3. Does nobody here listen to press conferences? The decision to change coaches was a process. Wasn't decided after the Seattle win 🙄

  4. it wont make any difference at all ken, same s#@$ different pile. The only thing you can do, and should have done, is to rid the the the club of the worst deal in the NHL, and that's Nurse—that six million dollar overpay IS the straw that breaks the back. The best thing you could ever have done was to never have given that contract, entirely on your shoulders and you can fire who ever you want, fire everyone, nothing changes until you fix what you F*&%$#$!

Go see an optometrist, because until you can see what's right in front of you—– the one thing everyone else can see, but you are completely blind to. All the coach's in the world, even one a week, wont change squat! Whining and crying about being short players, what a moron, would six million dollars do anything to help?

  5. WTF!! Maybe it’s time to fire HOLLAND and other office mice? You know, the ones who gave CAMPBELL his contract? Or fire/trade some of these WEAK players!!

  6. Holland and Chiarelli put them there. It's not Woody's fault that there's some pretty shitty contracts or no cap space to address the defense/goalie situation. I guess we'll see.

  7. Rather common to need a few days to line up the replacement (even within the same organization) while the current one is still coaching. Decision was made after the San Jose game.

  8. Congratulations to Connor McDavid for being the CEO, GM and coach of the Edmonton Oilers. McDavid runs this organization now.

  9. I really like Knoblauch. I was really hoping he would come to the Flyers organization when they made changes a couple of years ago. He's an amazing offensive coach, and that should really boost McDavid's numbers.

  10. So who’s the new guy? If he’s a pussy it won’t work. We need somebody who’s willing to tell it like it is. No more TLC.

  11. The goalie coach is married to Katz sister so he’s basically untouchable. He ruins every goalie, they basically all come here to die. And has he ever been held accountable? No. Even if they are family, they could find another position for him. I don’t know why they allow him to continue coaching our goalies .Jay Woodcroft didn’t deserve this whatsoever

  12. Knoblock will make a good choice because he know McDavid from his junior stint they have such good rapport together. It is guaranteed macDavids stats will improve

  13. This is a product of terrible management not accepting their absolute extreme bad decisions, This is not a coaching issue ! So now they hire a coach with absolute zero NHL level experience ? This is by far the worst decisions this organization has made in history. Not only will we witness this season as a complete failure. But this will cause this organization to be the the laughing stock of the entire league for years to come. This is NOT a good look for an NHL team. The season is a bust, looks like the only positive is at this point is another first round draft pick. i lost count so how many first round picks, this will be another failed system ? No playoffs this year and will be a team who qualifies for another first round pick.

  14. As an Oiler fan, I apologize, former Oiler fan, I just can no longer support this team. No more tickets, no more merchandise, no more $35 nachos. Nothing. This organization is a perfect example of amateur hour. It’s just embarrassing how terrible upper management is at doing their jobs. The guy running the local sports bar has more knowledge and insight than these guys, and I’m not even trying to be mean, or funny, it’s just fact. So embarrassing, but it’s over, at least for me. When Connor, and Leon leave, and they will, this team will get 20-25 wins a year, and that might be generous. The Oilers are done, they are finished, it is over, FINALLY, lol.

  15. Anyone ever stop to think maybe McDavid is the problem…the guy pouts and he gets his way… everytime.

  16. Holland your Family is calling !…… " I am leaving the Oilers to spend more time with my Family " ! HURRY THE " F " UP AND LEAVE !!!!!!!!
