Get back to me when Bedard is a 2 way player. He is -5 for the season. Everyone else here seems to be only focusing on offense which is sad
take this in for a moment, this is likely the worst verison of connor bedard we will ever see and at his worst hes a ppg player on one of the worst teams in the league with a line consisting of rotating 3rd line players.
Even last Florida played really badly against teams that were weaker on paper. Seems like nothing is different on that department, except they do seem to be rolling much better overall against mid tier teams than last year.
Bedard is the ONLY thing Chicago has going for them right now. And even then they still lose. Blows my mind how covering up SA for 10+ years allows you to get Bedard but mistakenly trading a player or testing prospects before a combine are 100X worse of a crime. But that’s just me

Panthers seems like they can do it all right now. You want a playoff style, low scoring defensive game? No problem, Maurice and the boys can lock it down. Want a shootout? No problem they’ll open it up and outscore you. They seem a lot more of a complete team this year and that’s without Ekblad and Montour and mostly Bennett.
On the first three Florida goals. our goalie either put the puck in his own net or was not between the pipes when the puck was shot in. He's fidgety and nervous and he's overplaying the puck. I don't understand why this can't be corrected……………………….

I can't help but wonder if outcome of this game would have been different with Hall and Athanasiou in the line-up. Hall was doing great since returning from his shoulder injury, and it's sad to see another setback for him. Hope it's not a long one. The Panthers can thank Mr. Essyimont for that questionable knee-on-knee hit the other night. While Athanasiou has trouble finishing, he's pretty good at making plays, so he was missed, as well.

Please review the no goal call in the Rangers game. This officiating is questionable at best, and I've been saying that after games that the Rangers win.

Panthers need to be taken more seriously, this west coast trip if they come back with 4-5 points they will be in great shape and our two top D men are coming back within the coming week, what a boost. League needs to be on notice and what a gorgeous Bennett hit he dished out 😊
So I was at the game. The Kuli hit was legit, happened right in front of me. After that Bedard kinda took a back seat and never really challenged close. I think he knew he would get checked hard and he was having none of that. He was mouthing off to Tkachuk though, and Matty….being who he is got right in his face about it. Looked to me like Bedard said it wasn't a good hit to the ref and MT was standing right there. There's not fight in Bedard. None. He's 18, that's why. He was like a deer in the headlights getting up.
He's a dangerous player, that's true, but he needs space. Reinhart, MT, Verhaeghe, Barkov, they're all willing to get low and dirty to get the goals. Conor isn't. Until he can scrum down low, everyone will make him play out where he can't be as effective. Message sent and….received it seems. Panthers won. 2nd in the Atlantic….but we suck according to the Blackhawks fans in other threads. LOL
The Blackhawks will play ever team tough, and while this most likely isnt a Playoff Team, we are atbleast seeing progress…
The young Blackhawks are playing great, especially Bedard, and they have A LOT of First & Second Round Draft Picks in the next 3 seasons.
Also, Management has made it clear that they arent done acquiring more high Draft Picks.
It doesn't necessarily mean that the Franchise will use all of them, but they are great trading pieces for later on!

Without the refs handing Florida pp like they were candy Hawks beat Florida 2 in a row. Hawks look much better than i think the league wants them to look right now which is ridiculous.
