The refs made some illegal bets, lil gamba. Not even trying to hide it 😭

  2. SellingMakesNoSense

Outscored the top team in the league/ defending cup champs 5-2 at even strength while still increasing our odds of a high pick.

    Great game imo.

  3. Pazzaaaaaa

Shots aren’t everything but being outshot almost every game this season won’t win you games and a big reason is the constant penalties.

  4. BillyShears19

Yeah Vegas deserved to win, but the Refs can still go fuck themselves

  5. HabChronicle

Dont care if we lost it was a fun night. Primeau was fantastic despite the end result. Five straight road games ahead, hopefully we survive…

  6. 0 goals, 2 assists in 17 games. Keeps playing on PP1, keeps getting top 6 minutes, keeps being used as the 6th skater.

  7. The individual player decision making was SO off today. Way too many times we’d have a 3-on-2, but try and skate the puck through the defender, lose it on the boards, and then have it go the other way. I just don’t get it man. A team only loses a game where they score 4 goals in today’s NHL with terrible defense and no structure…

  8. Absolutely brutal way to end the game. Primeau’s great game was completely wasted. I think this is like the third time this season that Gally gets a penalty with like 2 mins left in the game, and this time it was a major.

At least Suzuki, Ylonen and Barron got on the board. Shout out to Kovy too. It looked like an off game from Guhle, but I’m sure he’s gonna bounce back.

Most frustrating games back to back. Fucking ridiculous

Holy fuck do I hate Vegas and the players. I can’t believe that goalie got a cup but not price

Also habs only have 2 regulation wins, last in the league (well tied with the sharks😂) Hope they get 3 by the end of the month lol

  10. DocGubernaculum

Not gonna lie guys. The last few season of what feels like constantly getting outplayed and piling up losses is getting to me.

  11. GangWeed999

Holy fucking shit do I hate Vegas and their fucking zebras

  12. tehsdragon

Caufield and Zukes both at 15 points in 17 GP is pretty good but I’m certainly hoping to see more goals from CC

Our defense is clearly inexperienced but also some weird defensive lapses, not sure how to fix that except play more games

    Primeau did what he could

Habs and last minute penalties, name a more iconic duo

  13. GeistHunt

Why does MTL keep on using Anderson like he’s a top player? Seriously, what does MSL see in him that we don’t?

  14. Sportsguy1223

Why would you put Anderson out down one over Ylonen at this point?

  15. Anyone else catch the uncalled too many men in the first on Vegas’ side? Happened during a Habs rush

Edit: Underdog Habs, Shotty refs, and cream of the crop opponents at home. *Name a better trio*

Team defense was abysmal. Lack of cohesion and communication tonight and the reoccurring high amount of odd man rushes. Without Primeau this game could have been much worse. Nice to see Newhook, Kova, Ylonen, and Barron (again) get goals.

Whole team had a rough time in transition tonight. Neutral zone was a mess and Vegas gave no space to work with after entering the zone – their defensive depth is unreal and they have a plethora of strong 2-way forwards on every line; It wasn’t surprising they chewed up our lines as they can roll all 4.

Slaf haters gonna be out in full tonight but he played good the last few games and not one forward looked good tonight. The team had poor cycle game and was hemmed in our own end tonight. I thought he made a few good plays but obviously a rough night for him (along with the rest of the team).

Cole & Slaf need to be with Monahan or Suzuki. Enough of keeping Mony with Pearson and Gally – yes they’ve produced and looked good but our other top-6 needs support in transition. Cole, Andy, Slaf, all need more help, not Gally and Pearson – they’ve had their chance at resurgence and have gotten back to a steady level, they’ll be fine being alone for a bit. This is where not having Dach really hurts.

Edit: Young team does young team things. Oh well. On to the next. Remind yourselves we’re still in a rebuild and lost in a close game to the Cup champs. Relax.

  17. Thank_You_Love_You

    Vegas scored 3 PP goals.

We had 7 penalties. Thats just too many.

Putting up a real game against the top team in the NHL is pretty solid for us either way.

Tough November so far. Not sure what else there is to say.

    *BAD*

    – Entertaining game. And weird to say this with 5 goals on the board but not a remotely good game from the Habs.

    – Absolutely abysmal defensive play. Abysmal coverage nobody seeming to know what to do and very very soft in front of the net and leaving the high slot wide open.

    – Not Slafkovskys play the discourse on him. The two competing groups acting like he’s playing good (clearly false in this game) and acting like he’s playing horrible and is a bust (extra false) is annoying lol.

    – Josh Anderson went for another skate after playing better recently he was bad with the puck. Not sure why he’s getting ice time. I really try and avoid saying this but the player just isn’t it. There are numerous players in Laval I’d rather have up with the big club in an alternate universe.

    – Gallagher penalty nailed the game. Would have been nice to get the point somehow but even if that carried through in OT that’s too much to ask.

    – Primeau will be in the good later. But he needs to be consistently good rather than occasionally great.

    – Matheson twas the best of times twas the worst of times.

    – I get Caufield isn’t a defensive player and I could care less if he is as long as he scores. Idk on the one goal he just collapsed back basically right into Primeau. He’s struggling a bit.

    – Dvorak looks ok but his finishing rivals Anderson.

    – Shady refs. Lot of missed calls on Vegas.

    – Rare Guhle off night

    *GOOD*

    – Monahan is so smooth. Again, if the Habs have a great offer for him do it but if Habs are going to trade imo their best player right now for a middling pick or prospect I am in favour of holding on to him. Mind you, the reasons for not doing so are also extremely valid.

    – Ylonen with two goals. I’d try and bump him up to see what he can do. He seems to be excellent at finishing which is something this team desperately needs.

    – Primeau really kept the team in the game that first period. That’s some of the worst defensive play I’ve seen this year and it’s funny because it was 2-0 for a bit.

  20. vibranium-boy

Matheson always seems to pass when he should shoot and shoot when he should pass. That or he’ll pass to the wrong person

  21. realm_fury

All these penalties are not sustainable and kills any momentum we might have going.
    Primeau played very well.
Hope X is not out too long.

  22. Grizz709

Boys. I may just check out for the next few games. Our record for this month, so far, is not great.

  23. epoidacapo

Bad defensive coverage, lots of difficulty disrupting their cycle. We were able to finish though which was nice to see.

  24. banevadegang

Gallagher behaved like a total imbecile. Oh and Eichel is a monster

Edit: Guys, y’all gotta stop with Anderson, seriously lol

  25. whogivesashirtdotca

Haha one of the other radio hosts said, “Primeau really kept the Habs in the game.” To which Dany Dubé replied, “BOTH goalies kept the Habs in the game!”

  26. mfw i put out a guy with 0 goals whose only move is dump and chase with 1 minute to go needing a goal

  27. Olibro64

On the bright side, Habs fans in Quebec can get 8 free wings at La Cage!

    *^(Whimpers in Ontario.)*

  28. whogivesashirtdotca

MSL: “The game in Vegas, we deserved better, and tonight, we deserved what we got.”

  29. whogivesashirtdotca

Marty sounded VERY terse in the postgame interview. Gally’s getting yelled at, for sure.
