Is willing to take a serious paycut and sign with the understanding that he’s not going to play in the top 6 unless he moves to LW and outplays Bertuzzi so much that it would be uneasonable to keep him on the third line? If that’s what he’s on board for, then yes. But if he wants to come here for multiple millions and play with Matthews, keep walking.

If they can beef up the blue line then sure. But this team is going to need a little more muscle especially if Reaves can’t be counted on.

Kane is too much of a question mark and we don’t need anymore offence. Pulju does one thing that we need and that’s puck possession. Doesn’t do much else tho, I wouldn’t even call him defensively sound but he’d be an upgrade to Reaves (I don’t think that’s too reassuring)

As for the signing, would be fun, so sure if it’s cheap.
Right now as the lines are constructed the forward lines are pretty good. The greatest need right now is on defence. I just don’t see this team going deep in the playoffs with the current defence that we have.
It doesn’t make any sense at all for the team to spend more money on forwards. They have already allotted so much cash upfront. I can see Treliving trying to pry one of those defenceman out of Calgary. He knows them quite well from his time there. They’re all big and long which is the way this GM likes his defence to be.
