this third period collapse just feels like back to our old ways
Those two goals in a row can't happen on home ice. Totally deflating I knew we were done then. This is Tristan Jarry. Period. He's good sometimes, but most times he lets you down.

Cant this team play good all the time,one game theu just dominate. Then they look like a highschool team..an their passing looks so bad..i knew this was going ro be a bad game from the start…time to do something. P.o. Joseph could be trade bait, an the 3rd line isnt dong much again..do something. Instead of watxhing this team just fall apart

Graves..was smacking the puck..to the net ,ine game..then passes the the next 2. What happened why isnt the puck going to the net..quit passing to set ur buddy up,or make the perfect pass just shoot the puck

Boy oh boy, how quickly the Pens can forget what won them 5 games in a row. What a debacle.
It was clearly a team fail, but the first thing that struck me as a huge reason, was also what Crosby mentioned. Their forecheck and time in the attaching zone was about as minimal as could be for a team that actually generated two goals. I mean, i actually saw forwards tripping over their own skates in as attempt to vacate the zone as quickly as possible to try to stay on pace with the Devils transition. Like that side of the ice was lava or something. The pathetic one and done that they were so good at (meaning bad) earlier in the season should take a bow to the way they took it to a whole new level of perfection in this game.
Penguins-itis strikes again. Pens go up 2-1 and at the 16 minute mark the 4th line thinks they are the 1st line and try to make a 90 ft pass from 1/2 wall to half wall right across our blue line and turn the puck over and then Devils score on a turnover. This happens 30 seconds right after the pens go up 2-1. Totally killed momentum. Then pens continued to turn the puck over all night afterwards and play loose again
Malkin was just horrible last night, among other problems.
I noticed how the 'couple more players' you were referring to on the Guentzel misplay were conveniently left nameless, as to not conflict with your glowing assessment of Letang on the J1Q. Letang with the only minus 3 last night. Yes the defense was all bad, especially Pettersson, but that said, Karlsson was a +1.
It seems like Malkins line has really fallen off the last couple games
Boy, our PP looked great lol. Could you imagine if Jack hughes, nico hischier, and Timo meier played last night. They would have made us look like san jose and beat us by 10
Only the Penguins could acquire one of the best point men of his generation and still have one of the worst power plays in the league.
Game was over when that horrible PP happened. Rierden has to go. Also found the third line to be near non existent last night. Same with Rakell. He needs to come off that second line.
Jarry is just a liability. If he isnt at his absolute best (luckiest) the team just falls apart around him. Thats just my dumb opinion, what do i know

The power play is and has been a joke for a while. How has the special teams coach keep their job?
I love how “it’s Jarry’s fault” when it was a team fail ! You cannot blame a goalie for that mess of a game. Until the 3rd period Jarry gave them a shot then he said screw it!

DK, I know rakell is a great player but do you think they should put him out to market and try to get 2 quality players for his 5 million dollars?
