s2g i think half the blurbs were written by an internal ESPN AI

Espn doesn’t care about hockey, and hockey doesn’t care about us, so they probably dedicated as much ChatGPT power to this blurb as they do to Vietnamese baseball

Yeah I’m surprised ESPN didn’t do a deep dive on an article no one will read about the worst team in the league

I never cared for NBC’s coverage of hockey, but ESPN is even worse. Don’t forget that moron Kevin Weeke’s spoiling the draft order. And then Chelios with his comment about nobody caring about Columbus. At least he got fired

How does him being hurt now negate the fact that people were raving that he was playing the best hockey of his career prior to getting hurt?

They don’t care, just find a player who’s slightly overperforming the median and say “omg this guy is turning his career around”. He’s been decent this year but shows how much they care about us that they prob don’t even know he’s hurt. Prob got an intern writing something

Meanwhile, they’ve got about 50 monitors in Chicago, a full injury report with detailed analysis on every single muscle fiber that was torn, a full dossier on the Blackhawks next 5 games, 79 new Bedard-Crosby/Bedard-Gretzky/Bedard-McDavid graphics, and 10 new reports written up by the head PR people that cover up Patrick Kane being a r*****.
