Ya I keep looking for last years team and wondering when IL see them play like they did is this a fluke team?
Right now I want a trade but if this road trip is a disaster then I need a trade. Seriously if at that point things are that bad and nothing happens I dont know if Granto and Adams are who I thought they were.

Last year the Sabres and Jets split their two games. 4-2 Jets (empty net goal) in the first one and 3-2 Sabres in the second game (Sabres were up 3-0 half way through the 3rd in that one.) Looks like we're in for a close game. Also the NHL Network has cherry picked this one which means I can't see it live. Bummer. I invite the NHL Network and Gary Bettman to suck it. Good luck tonight.
My enthusiasm for the season is way down right now. They have not looked good in most games this year, even in victory. But I will still be watching in frustration and disappointment. This really looked like a playoff team this past summer, it is disheartening to see them playing at this underwelming level right now. Many factors at work here but the main one for me is coaching and preparation. Especially those under Granato.
Wayne the team is much improved in physicallity this season. It is great to see. Middle of the pack in hits? I will take that all day after the soft play we have seen the past several seasons. That is a major step forward in my view. I'm surprised you are not more impressed with it. We were DEAD LAST in hits in 22-23 and in 21-22. I would still like some more lunch pail physical players with great work ethic but some appreciation for the tougher play this year is in order.
Addams has shown over and over again that he isn’t the type to pull the trigger on a substantial trade. He’s waiting for next year and the huge cap space they will have. He won’t commit to anything major that will bleed into next year. This year is shot. It’s all about next year.
Winnipeg is going to be hard to beat. I sure hope the Sabres players are more confident in themselves than I am right now.
At this point, I’m willing to trade Krebs in a package with Olofsson, and not that Ryan Johnson is showing he’s gonna be a stud, we can sweeten the deal with Bryson. I know Krebs has potential, but he’ll never find in buried in the bottom 6. Trade all 3 of them to a team that believes they can get more out of those 3 than we can, even if it’s for just ONE difference making player. That’s what we need to shake things up and make room to bring up our young start to start letting them spread their wings in the NHL.
I have been waiting for a long road trip. I wish they started on the road. Then we would really know what the team looked like. Their home record is still unsettling.
Wayne we have Kevin and Don reprising the Darcy and Lindy soap opera of years back. Darcy famously said of Lindy “I could never fire my friend “ and we saw how that worked out.

We could have made the playoffs last season if we'd been aggressive at the trade deadline. But the prevailing sentiment was, let's just give our young guys time to mature and we'll be much improved next season. Well, guess what? We're not. I'm watching a Sabres team tonight in the first period that can't even get out of its own zone.
