His stats with the Flyers were actually really fkn good. I remember young and dumb and preferring Esche but I recently compared their stats a week ago after hearing the news about his death and yeah, Roman had much better stats.
He played during my favorite time to be a fan, Gagne, Roenick, Recchi, Handzus, LeClair, Primeau, etc… man I loved that era as a young teenager
Edit: upon 2nd inspection actually, Esche and Roman only overlapped one season lol I thought it was at least 2-3 years. But once Roman left we signed on Niittymaki
