2nd verse, same as the first.
Gonna have a hard time trusting this hockey team rest of season if we lose in any way tomorrow.
Zero effort. Zero emotion. Zero chemistry. Zero accountability. Nobody on this team gives a fuck. Kyrou should be in a no contact league.
I’m going to silver lining this one, for no particular reason.
In the 3rd period, Perunovich and Parayko played 6:38 together at 5v5. They had 61.5% of the xG share (as flawed as that analytic is). This could be a thing moving forward. And putting Leddy, who was already playing generally decent, with Bortz can only enhance his skill set.
Chief has made a lot of silly line-up decisions so far, but I like how he experiments when we’re getting the shit kicked out of us. Sometimes that bears some nice fruit. Hopefully, this will be another.
And can we move Jakey up above Saad already! #^*&%$
Okay… one complaint.
Also, Krug needs to stop fucking up so gratuitously. Two complaints.
Takeaways:
1. I think it’s pretty clear that if goaltending isn’t on this team doesn’t have a chance to win. Not blaming Binner, but they essentially need him to steal a period until they form a counterattack.
2. The offense should be embarrassed. No finishing touch, no power play, no primary scoring and no secondary scoring. We all expected much more out of Kyrou, Buchnevich, Vrana, Blais, Kapanen and it’s not clicking…until they’re eliminated from playoff contention! 🚀🚀
3. The avs and lightning both got spanked by the blues during rough stretches and both have since bounced back. Shit streaks happen. I expect another loss tomorrow vs the Ducks to get back to .500 but hey if they rip off 5 of 6 everybody is feeling great again! Gonna be a long damn season.
