I’m not necessarily a huge fan of Lambert, but Lane taking the fall for all of Lou’s shortcomings is pretty unfortunate. Lou needs to go, and if management is serious about winning anytime soon they need to just clean house. New GM, and coaching staff immediately please.

After watching Klingberg here in Minnesota was shocked Toronto signed him in free agency.

I read a trade rumor today and yesterday that leafs send T.J brode and 1st round pick in 2024 and 5th round pick in 2024 that was Canucks pick and 3rd round pick in 2024 that was Islanders pick and Nick Abruzzese and Potus Holmburg and D prospect who is a question mark for Niktia Zadorov at 50% and Christopher Tanev at 50% and A.J Greer and Walker Duehr if true or not we will see? They Think D prospect could be Marshall Rifai or Max Lavjoie but who is question mark and maybe could be Mikko Kokkonen because in the rumor that D prospect is Left side D-man from marlies and in rumor GM of Flames was a the Marlies game on Sunday or yesterday. If deal go through the leafs would clean up a 1.2m in cap space and with Timothy Lijegren on LTIR and see if John Klingburg is hurt or can be trade and David Kampf maybe hurt too the leafs would have 2.6M cap space and rumors brad Treliveing maybe eye Mario Ferraro and Filp Zadina on Sharks if true or not we will see?

I saw the highlights of the Detroit-Ottawa game while working out at a local fitness centre, and while the shot was a thing of beauty, why the ELF did the goalie duck? It's in the dying seconds of OT, why duck instead of throwing up the arms in an attempt to stop it and try to force a shootout as well as protect the head?

Remember last January when Skinner became a Dad and took some time off?….Campbell went 9–0 to start the 2023 year in January and remained solid the rest of the year.
In fact Woodcroft was criticised for NOT giving Campbell ANY start's last playoffs.
He was excellent vs Nashville 10 games ago….Have things REALLY fallen THAT badly for Soupy in 10 or 12 total games? (not even playing some of those)…
As long as the Oilers continue with this new resurgence and Pickard can handle at least ONE NHL start, my bet is you will see them ride Skinner in the NHL and Campbell, no matter what, in the AHL. You won't see the Oilers do ANYTHING in goal until Campbell has had at least 2–4 weeks down in Bakersfield. (depending on what is happening with the NHL team)….
It simply does not make sense NOT to at least try and get Soupy back up and running, bring him back and try and deal him then. Even if they take back someone else's undesirable contract at a different position….You have not heard the last of Soupy.
Who knows? They might decide they like Soupy so much they keep him anyway?

Lou should just retire, he’s traded first rounders for aging veterans, the Islanders are now slow and not deep. They should rebuild because of Lou’s ridiculous trades, they are spinning their wheels and going no where. Not good enough to make the playoffs and just good enough to miss a high draft pick
The Habs should not take any Oiler garbage.
The Habs crowded goal crease does not have the solution to any teams goaltending needs. The 3 teams that have said needs would require the Habs to take back a bad contract to take on Allen's contract, or salary retention on the Habs part and I'm sure the Habs management would want a very steep price to use up their 3rd and final retention spot this many months ahead of the trade deadline. Trading either of Allen or Monty would compromise the Habs real need for reliable Goaltending right now. Primeau is not #1 ready or really even NHL ready just now, and any team that acquires him inherits the same issue the Habs have with him; he's a risk to not clear waivers. I question if the Habs are in a hurry to solve this crowded crease issue. This is a great example of a Journalist or pundit dreams up a trade scenario in his head, and then it becomes an imminent trade that teams are working on. I seriously doubt that New Jersey, North Carolina, or Alberta area codes are showing up on Kent Hughes' call display.
Primeau, who gave up six goals on Thursday night, is not the answer for the Oilers. Or any NHL team. I'll never understand why the Habs continue to see value in him.
