  1. They keep giving these coaches first time head coaching position and they keep failing. Why not go after a guy like Gallant or someone with experience?

  2. The coach is not the problem either is management. If the head apple is rotten then whole barrel will end up rotten.

  3. It is quite understandable that they fired the coach when they did. Just last week he was spotted jaywalking once again. And after each loss more and more critics were coming out of the woodcroft.

  4. Oiler recipe for disaster;
    a McDavid Sandwich

    One slice of Jeff Jackson & another slice of Kris Knoblauch, filled with loads of Holland-aise flavoured baloney.

    Chase it with a little Paul Coffee & a Dustin Schwartz, to go…

  5. This choice was terrible, it is 100% Oilers. I love Drai but hate McDavid so overall overjoyed to see the Soilers soil another season.

    Holland is a terrible GM and has proven this time and again. Some of the worst contracts were given by him. He won in Detroit with an unlimited budget and 3 generational players.

  6. "his relationship with McDavid"

    … quote from McDavid earlier today…

    "He was great in junior, other than that I don't know much of what he's been up to"

    Yeah, they sound real buddy buddy! Oh wait..

  7. Knoblauch is the right guy. They needed someone calm and direct with a focus on D-zone coverage – that's Knoblauch. His approach to simplify is what the Oilers need, right now.
