    Nice collection of cards. I don’t collect but I do have a very nice set from the Cup season of 1996-1997. And a Draper rookie card, which is my favorite because Draps is my favorite, even if the card isn’t a Red Wings card.

    I gave my whole childhood collection to a fella on this sub. They were taking up so much space at home and I didn’t have the time or patience to try and sell anything of value. Wonder if he made any money off them lol

    Slightly off topic but I’ve got a great hockey card story. Haven’t collected since I was a kid, but I used to go to this card shop in Eaton Rapids all the time.

    One day I’m buying a couple packs with some buddies, didn’t get anything cool and I’m getting ready to head out when the owner says, “what the heck, there’s only 2 packs left in the box. You open one, I’ll open the other, and then I’ll put a new box on display.”

    Open my pack and there’s a Henrik Zetterberg rookie card right near the top. Of course I’m a ecstatic about it. Continue flipping through and there’s a STEVE YZERMAN JERSERY CARD, #’d out of 250. Needless to say I was flipping out. The owner then grabbed the Zetterberg card and said something along the lines of “I think I at least deserve this one”, but he let me keep the jersey card!

    I still have that card and think about this memory every time I see it. I hope the owner of that shop is doing well. Good times, good memories.
