    Unfortunately Marner is making 11. Willy is a better player. There is no way he is taking less than Marner and pasternak.

    The only comparable that matters is Marner. Willy deserves to make more than him and he knows this. Nylander home town discount might be 11.5 to 12. Mike is high if he thinks $10.5 is fair 😂

    This is the attitude that ended up with him playing without an extension, and will result in him walking. Negotiation means you listen to what Willy wants, and then negotiate from there. Do you think Willy has even given them a number, or just let them come to him every week with their new comparable and then not respond?

    I'd take Marner's all round game over Willy any day of the week…. But we can afford both.
    I'm not understanding how our best player last year, namely Mitch Marner is taking flak… For somebody else's financial decision.

    All of these insiders and reporters are absolute clowns with their Nyllander comparable's. Yes, based on THIS year you could maybe make those comparable's, but when you compare on a CAREER basis, all of these talks of him making over 11m are ridiculous. He's worth 9 and that's the reality. Anyone else who says otherwise is getting caught up in the Toronto hype and not seeing things from a birds eye view

    Great.. just what leaf nation.needs.. more bearded overweight critics that just spit out what TSN ESPN say on those shows.. just what we need. Golf leafs golf nylander is worth 6 at most has won 1 round in what 7 years all the leaf players are well overpaid. Core four can be fun to watch but we all know they do not have a winners mentality and are content with just being average at best inconsistent. Weak while becoming better golfers since they routinely get bitched slapped off playoff ice… Year after year 1 playoff win for 40 million.. just think let that sink in.. be nice to actually have one of the overpaid players hit 100 points for once all these other teams with champion players that play both ends making half these clowns playing hard every shift. They stand up for there team an themselves. While going deep runs in the playoffs… How many goals for the core 4 in second round? Think 2 … Was that worth 40 million? Only way to correct this is to renegotiate all these over paid players no team wants these contracts.. prove me wrong leafs players

    Here are the moves entering the 2024/2025 season.

    1) Sign William Nylander – 5 years 10.25 per year. Nylander is having a great year now but has no history of consistant success at the pace he is on now.
    2) Sign Mitch Marner – 5 years 11.0 per year
    3) Sign Brodie – 2 years – 2.5 million or let him walk
    4) Trade Ryan Reaves for whatever
    5) Let John Klingberg go
    6) Offer John Taveres a 2 year extension at 6 million per or let him walk. Current Contract expires in 2025.
