Never expected the downfall of Zadarov to be this quick, much deserved however

Oh c’mon, we can get *at least* $25 for him

I still think he’s playing good.

Last night Elliot dropped a few things on this. Firstly, Backlund stepped up like the awesome captain he is and talked to him privately. Zad called out his teamates publicly earlier in the sesson, then pulled a weasel move and had his agent bitch in the media. Secondly, he reported that Conroy offered him a two year, 8 or 9 million dollar contract. All the right things.
If Zad doesn’t want to be part of the team, trade him away at the deadline. No passengers here.
I’m also so happy that Johnny hockey is crashing a burning. Good riddance.
Go flames go! Praise Scorch!

He’s worth at least double that. I’d lock him down for 8 years at that rate.

Funny post, but let’s be real. I don’t think fans should turn on Zadorov. He came here and he has played hard for us, I don’t agree with giving the guy shit for being honest and wanting to switch it up while he has peaked in value over his career. The guy doesn’t want to play for a shit ownership group that only cares about making the playoffs and being mediocre. He wants to continue playing top 4 D pairing minutes for another organization and not take a step back in his career by not producing points on a dysfunctional team and is regarded then as a 5th or 6th D man maybe spending time in the AHL.
I am bitter right now because of the new arena deal and pressure put on our city to help fund it. However, I have huge respect for Connie and all of the guys that have tried to do the best for this team while being under an inept ownership group that I imagine has put constraints on alot of the decision making. Some of these guys have given so much to our organization that I want to support them and see them be amazing under a new team. That at least can be pointed to as an indicator that we aren’t doing things right when players underperform with us and do substantially better with other teams.
