  1. As a hockey fan that was a great game as a wings or sens fan… not so much haha both teams have some major issues. Hell of a goal by Timmy though

  2. That OT goal was kind of like his first NHL goal when he hit the puck out of the air after it bounced off the ice.

  3. A win is a win. Its not always pretty. Take it and move on with your head held high and lets get above 500

  4. Another issue re. this trip is the Leafs games are both the second game of back to back. They will be playing against tired teams. Hmmmm, seems like the NHL want the Leafs to do well. $'s speak.

  5. Oh the Drama! 4-0 and Fun, Fun, Fun….then a collapse….then a Miraculous Goal to Win it!!!
Anyone else notice the Alfie! Alfie!! Alfie!!! chant starting at 11:11 left in the 2nd period? Loved it, but then soon after Detroit would score.
And did anyone else notice that leather pants and "accented with leather" blouse that NHL Network's Co-Host Lauren Gardner was wearing? Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! What a night.

  6. JBD is finally coming along nicely. He needs to be Hamonic’s full time replacement

  7. Between you guys mentioning the blocked shots yesterday (which was super impressive), and him throwing those crushing hits today, I think JBD has officially won me over.

I've seen him play live a few times this year, and he passes the eye test in terms of his skating. As long as he's careful with the puck moving forward, there's no reason he doesn't have success in the NHL.

  8. had the brady anytime pt, plus pp pt, and tim got me the goal last 2nd for big bet winning.

  9. JBD looked like a kid who got picked 1st round, more than he ever has.

Sanderson looks like Karlsson when he projects that insane speed offensively.

  10. The wild thing about the Timmy 3-point games under 22 stat is when you consider who the 3 guys above him played with…
Jari was linemates with Wayne, Jagr had Mario, and obviously Malkin had the opportunity to spend lots of time on the PP with Crosby. Considering Timmy isn't playing with anyone considered to be a top-10 all-time great makes his accomplishment that much more impressive.

Also, unrelated, it's worth mentioning that not only are both Leafs games considered road games, but both of their games come against teams who played the night before. Sweet scheduling.

  11. Why didn't DJ call a time out when the ship was sinking in period 2?
Luck for us their tender sucked in the first.
We won despite terrible defence and lousy coaching…
