I have spent much of my life hearing how naive Leaf fans are because every autumn we just believe it’s our time. This year we will win the cup and then every spring the boys in blue are playing golf. And we fans are chanting sour mantra « there’s always next year »
And I get it. I would say faithful or dedicated.
Last year I saw the crown (native crown)pass from us to oilers fans. They have scooped up what half a dozen of our guys. Including Jack Campbell. I love Jack. He has a personality as big as any in the league, he had an amazing run in relief of Freddie. He was amazingly lucky, the Leafs could outscore his mistakes. There was no way in any version of hell that the Leafs would give him $5 million for 5 years. And then his play showed why the league was looking at Ken Holland like he was drunk and high on weed. But wait Skinner is the greatest goalie since Roy or Furh. Except he isn’t. He is also a back up goalie. You can’t win without goal tending. We have tried.

I think it’s close to breaking him. He needs to leave EDM. If drai doesn’t resign, McDavid will be gone – and he’ll be traded. EDM is inept, but they won’t risk losing McDavid walking after losing Drai for nothing. Theyll try to trade McDavid if they know he won’t resign.
