All I heard from the Devils fans all summer was they claimed they were destined to be the next dynasty team. Last Year was a fluke. Their Goaltending and Defense are terrible. Plus everyone going to come after them this year and they should've known that.
Time to hit that big panic button immediately!!!
Maybe they should stop trying to shoehorn Luke Hughes as the PP1 QB. Might help the powerplay. It’s become more about the Hughes show than total team success.
I think the league just caught on. They took the league by surprise last year with their kamikaze style offense. People say the departure of Severson and Graves had an impact, but what about Tatar, and a few others too. They had a ton of free agents last year. This team is different, their getting hit now, and they're too small to handle it, hence the injuries. Bad goaltending, terrible defense. I just think they're not a great team. Jack Hughes is very talented, but not great on defense. His brother on D is ok, a bit overrated because of name (not Quinn). The defense is garbage. Nobody saw this?
