  1. They weren’t going to sustain that record- they’re not as good as their record and not as bad as this losing streak. They are a soft team and will checked out if the playoffs. Bruins need some beef and toughness.

  2. Bruins are so awful right now that I'm just glad we arent losing guys to (nevermind) in games that are out of reach from puck drop.

They did the right thing and padded their line in the standings early in case of a rainy month like they're in right now.

  3. Thanks for the laugh about Larry made my night just a little bit better. I’m the one who dm’d you about Marchy falling off the cliff and you summed up everything about Marchand perfectly, SHOOT THE DAMN PUCK! It’s not time to hit the panic button this team will bounce back and continue to be a top 5 team this season just wait.

  4. The puck luck has left us. Hopefully the ebbs and flows of the season land in the right place for a deeper playoff run. Pulling Sway was about as douche as not playing him in the playoffs.

  5. General notes: I will not lie after that first goal by the Blue Jackets I got a sinking feeling that it was gonna go badly, but kept up internal hope, yet once that second goal went in I kinda gave up on the game for the most part.

Team notes: The boys need something to jolt them. I hate to go back to him but maybe it's time to bring in Chara or Bergeron and give them a talking to about their game. I know they should be enjoying retirement but if even Monty can't bring these guys out of it who else can? At worst get Bergeron with Marchy and have them talk about what it means to be a captain and how it's on his shoulders to lift up the team when they're going through it. Marchand can be a fine captain, but it feels like he doesn't know how to handle the responsibility so it not only could it be effecting team morale but also how he is playing on the ice.

Forward notes: I can count on one hand the amount of B's who still put every single ounce of energy into their shifts once that second goal was scored, Poitras, Heinen, Pastrnak, Lauko, and maybe Debrusk, everyone else just seemed to go into a sort of auto-pilot mode, never fully giving up but they stopped putting in full effort. We saw how strong that combo of Poitras and Pastrnak is. Keep them together. If that means moving Zacha to wing then so be it if they wanna keep them together, otherwise put Debrusk on the LW. Then you'd put Marchand on the second line with Zacha preferably and anyone you wanna choose, preferably Heinen. That is what would be most healthy for this team right now genuinely. Freeing up Pastrnak for more creative plays whilst lifting some of the weight off Poitras shoulders since it feels like at a lot of times he is the only person driving any sort of offense on his usual 3rd line with Debrusk and Heinen/Geekie. Other than that I have no issues with the Coyle line or the Beecher line.

Defense notes: Gryz hasn't been the same since his return. Just indecisive and slow. Hoping it's just rust, being unable to play for a month and not getting much practice in beforehand probably hasn't helped. McAvoy, Lindholm, and Carlo are the only consistent things with the D-men, and even they're taking stupid penalties and allowing odd man rushes far too often. I hate that as soon as I start more publicly praising the quiet but consistent play by Forbort and Shattenkirk they immediately fall right back to last seasons failings, maybe I jinxed them lol, but indeed Mitchell isn't the problem, but the 3rd pairing problem is much more noticeable when he is in the lineup. But what do you do to fix it? Only logical thing is to put Lindholm on the first line but he works best with Carlo.

Goalie notes: Monty did Sway dirty. I understand the reasoning, but it didn't work, if anything it made the team play far worse. When Sway is on that ice he brings this sort of chaotic energy with him, it makes the boys far more lively, no ill intent against Ully mind you, but it is a thing I have noticed that they play faster and more aggressive when Sway is on the ice. Ully also got done dirty, he was put in a dire situation and was basically told by being out in so suddenly "you are now the only thing on the ice that can possibly save this team until they figure it out themselves".

Coach notes: I won't lie I haven't liked how Monty has handled these last 5 games excluding Florida. He is still an amazing coach, but he's either not making decisions fast enough or not at all, that is especially clear with refusing to change that first line and now last night with pulling sway far too early. He's gotta figure this out otherwise this team may be in for a lot worse down the road.

Overall it is time to be put on the worry spectrum. Not high worry, more like medium-low worry. We ain't the only super strong team rn struggling so it isn't all doom and gloom. If they lose to SJ though, I think that's when it is fully time to start wondering what radical thing can they do to change anything going on with this team right now. Go B's? GO B'SSSSSSSSSS!

  6. Hampus Lindholm was great last year,
but ever since the playoffs he skates like he has scuba diving gear on.
I will now refer to him as
    "Scuba Swede"

  7. The C means everything in Boston! U have no idea if you dont live here…. Brads fine with the C i gotta say..
Hey, im glad they came back down from that amazing start..lots of games left folks!
    Low Qual: " u the man!"😅

  8. Vibes have been off since griz returned 😕 dude skates like he’s a 62 overall in chel.

  9. As weird as it sounds, this is so important for any team that goes far in the playoffs. You NEED to fail during the reg season so that big games during that time happen. That way come playoffs, you've already faced adversity and are prepared for it. Its 100% part of why we lost last year. We had no meaningful games to prepare us.

  10. Marchand has a presence in the locker room but it's more buddy buddy with the other players.. Taking unnecessary penalties Doesn't help either.. Don't get me wrong he's very important to the team and extremely talented , but the role that he plays doesn't seem like a leader.. I also don't think Charlie McAvoy is at that point yet.. He makes a lot of the same mistakes that Marchand makes less the joker type..most likely in future.. Pasta is the only one he leads by example..Linholm is my 2n

  11. Marchand has a presence in the locker room but it's more buddy buddy with the other players.. Taking I'm necessary penalties Doesn't help either.. Don't get me wrong he's very important to the team and extremely talented , but the role that he plays doesn't seem like a leader

Don't get me wrong he's very important to the team and extremely talented , but the role that he plays doesn't seem like the leader type.. And I don't think McAvoy is ready ee

  15. few ugly games. avs and knights have had or having bad stretches too. i personally thought marchand was going to have an epic year b/c his best bud retired. im not impressed thus far. the lack of toughness is my concern. they get blown out 3 in a row and there's no rough stuff. look what happened in the OTT vs FLA game. thats what i want from the bruins. i thought danton heinen back was going to be a fill in guy on the fourth line every now and then, not a regular on the third line. there is no jam. no one that runs around every shift looking for someone to hit. the florida teams have that (i hate to say))
